Was inspired. Polished and blued the barrel
@Wombat that’s one very pretty Beretta, man ![]()
@Maiphut hmmm… that Taurus is not a bad buy at that price… ![]()
On the DB it was well worth the sore fingers polishing this puppy up… makes a Taurus look soooo much better
and no more sub standard paint flaking off it… awesome. ![]()
That’s awesome work mate. Makes me want to do mine! Berettas just look right all shined up.
I mean, it’s branded a Taurus… or it used to be.
But as you guys would know, with that safety on the slide instead of the frame DB actually made a Beretta 92 with a Taurus trigger guard.
Now the paint’s off I could if I wanted to round that guard off and make it more Betetta… but I can’t be arsed. ![]()
Good ol’ medinchina…
Yea, Beretta still do some frame mounted safety/de cockers and different trigger guards. I think they just named it Taurus to avoid any copyright with Beretta ![]()
It’s strange, there are a lot of different models and feature combo’s over the years.
The Taurus I had, ambidextrous frame mounted safety and de cocker. Double action.
And here’s Beretta basically doing the same now with a split hammer? 20 years later. Go figure ![]()
I foresee a AKgelblaster M92 Elec , in your future…
The hitman compensator, and The Professional vibes, demand an all black beretta…
And your gas powered aversion, helps complete the circle…
The tea leaves, have spoken…!!

Oh, I have no doubt I’ll be hooking into a MiLF soon enough…
Hang on… that’s not what I meant to say… ![]()
But you’re right… an all black Beretta with the hitman comp would be uber cool. ![]()
Why I never throw away the foam box liners from gel blaster packaging. Saved me a lot of work…
Nice new home for the APC9K… and lockable. ![]()
Albert Wesker….is impressed…!!

Speaking of the " Gold" DB Beretta…
Its amazing how some time, will value add to a blaster…
I should sell it now, as a “rare, unobtainium Gold collectors item!!”
King Midas colour code… it turns silver, into Gold.!.!
50 shades of…?!?
![]()
Comparison is a bit better, when compared next to a silver 1911…
Place your bids now…this piece only gets more valuable with time!!!
( Golder!!)
The difference is more pronounced, in real life viewing conditions…
Yeah, there’s something about the silver that DB uses in the plating of those Taurus jobbies… the one I recently polished was originally silver but it took on distinct gold tones in time.
Then it was black, one of the 50 shades but buggered if I know which one… ![]()
Then it was polished alloy… out of all of those configs I reckon the polished alloy looks the best. ![]()
Lucky you didn’t take that photo on my back deck… that’d set the colour cat amongst the shade pigeons. ![]()
You can really pick out the developing gold on the frame around the grip in that photo of yours. ![]()
The good news is the upcoming MiLF Berettas are just black on black… so no confusion or colour warping to worry about. ![]()
Home and contents insurance time…
And the increase is……36 percent…!!

I’m gonna have to start making claims…!!
Ridiculous….zero claim history…!
Why? Mine stayed the same. Low risk I guess. Insurance co’s trying to make money back on all the claims on east coast ![]()
Yep - Brisbane home and contents all went up over 30%
You seriously start to think….do I even need insurance.?
Crystal ball stuff….
Mum, at her last home…35 years, 0 claims…
Equivalent of probably $65 000…for nothing…
I know…you don’t need it…until you do…
But man, what a bitter pill to swallow…
Fun on the road today with the Bruce shut down.
Had to take Sammy to an appointment in Strathpine, ended up taking all the back roads through Petrie, Joyner and Lawnton. Even had to avoid Gympie Road… got her there on time, though, so brownie points for that.
Getting home was a different story…
Left Strathpine around 2:30pm, got home at about 4:30… two hours to make what would normally be a sub half an hour trip. ![]()
I was wondering what was happening today…
Crap traffic everywhere, at 2:30…
I remember a few years back a truck rolled over on Nerang river bridge heading southbound and spilled into the fast lane northbound leaving it’s trailer half over the bridge rails and in the fast lane southbound.
I had just got back to town from rathdowney getting dropped back to my car at the work depot behind the western service road, heading to the place I used to live in Southport, what was normally a 15-20 minute drive home turned into over 3 and a half hours traffic was so disrupted by it
The service roads were absolutely flooded with traffic all directions, and was absolute mayhem, everyone cutting each other off trying to get through quicker
Oh and did I mention it was afternoon school traffic on top, peak hour traffic on overdrive to the extreme
Was literally the most excruciatingly painfully long as f##k drives home I have ever had
I certainly don’t miss all that shit. Usually got the road to myself ![]()
