What is everyone's favourite CQB blaster?

Nice little collection :ok_hand:

I’m up to about 18 blasters now I think. But a few got stripped down for certain projects I’m working on.

The “projects” always outweighed the actual working blasters in my old massive collection :+1:

Once I get my hands on another slr ak get ready to see possibly one of the most cursed gel blasters you’ll ever see :joy:

still my favourite. Just wish I could get a way of running semi

Shorter than the AK74U and short barrelled M4

Is that an old Lehui? It doesn’t quite look the same

No. It is older than that. It is the original screw together AUG modded with a metal geared Gen 8 gearbox, metal inner and outer barrels with custom machined 14mm ccw adapter

What was the brand name Yitai

Not Yitai - these were BLG. They are the same as the one that has been re-released from iHobby as YiTai - same box with different brand

BLG, that’s a brand I haven’t heard in a long time :hushed:
Can get the Gen8 running semi by fitting an inline FCU/MOSFET if you are really keen!

I used the units out of the early ARP9’s with the red dragon gearboxes :ok_hand:

Still have a couple floating around somewhere, so will try and post some pics here :+1:

The Urrkii FCU/MOSFET is another handy inline/buffer tube programmable unit that works a treat for the Gen8’s too :ok_hand:

…if you can find one that is

Simple two wires to the trigger switch and the unit plugs inline with the battery :ok_hand:

I was using urrkii’s but blew up my last one. They work but aren’t the best to use in a game when set to one round burst. Semi single round setting tends to fry them but great for 3 to 5 round burst. It was easier to configure CYMA for games and just use the A1 for plinking in the shed or open field games. Still have a couple more unmodded ones to build something one day

Oh yes that was my other guess, the BLG M16 was everywhere. I briefly looked at one but it was too small made for kids. Cheap as nuts.

Yeah, continuous single fire puts stress on any blaster motors/wiring/electronic components

that’s a bit odd, but I guess it makes sense being more powerful on semi than full auto

goddamit why’s shit I want gotta go on sale when I’m wanting something else first… bugga

I remember the BLG M16s… :expressionless:

Full ABS plastic build, a Gen 8 clone gearbox but not JM, full auto when the safety switch was on, safety was in full auto mode… all class :joy:

Nothing like an M16, more like an M4 with a triangle handguard with a wierd pic rail under it and a solid stock. At least they kind of got the grip half right.

But it was just about all you could get back then, I guess. Azrael’s is still selling them for $150. :man_shrugging:

Yeah the M16 was their biggest claim to fame…pity it was a POS in reality :disappointed:

Super old piece of kit there. With the semi stuff. I may need to look up the same as a project needs it
