MAG CAPS:
I will shout this, so every one hears, and there is no doubt…
BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL.
THESE WILL BE THE FIRST TO BREAK, IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL…!!
as a caution, EVERYTHING in the mag area needs to be handled GENTLY.
This is not a blaster, for rough and quick mag changes.
Getting the mag in is a bit fiddly, as it feeds in on a guide rail, which can be a bit difficult to find.
I find, what works best, is to turn the blaster upside down, lay it on a flat surface, and then you can gently wiggle the mag in. Listen for the click of the microswitch.
It is fiddly, if the mag is not 100% in the correct position, the end cap will not go on properly and click into position. You can have the mag feeding, and the end cap only ‘half on’. this leaves pressure on the end cap arms (dont want that), and not being secured properly, it could fall off and get lost. (dont want that). If its on properly, you will hear the click as the retention arms click into place, there is no tension on them , and no pressure on the mag either. Try it a few times, without the mag, to get a feel for them.
They currently have no replacement mag arms, so be careful.
PERFORMANCE:
OLD: my custom does 1500 r/min at about 360fps, on xforce pinky’s. With Metal gears in a nylon gearbox, with a M100 spring. I put this down to Rays skill, good parts, and good V.E. with a longer double bell barrel. I’m sure performance like this could be acheived with a bit of work, but i’m in no hurry to open one up…
NEW: Ive only tried xforce pinky’s , doing about 310 fps, around 600 r/min. As stated , this could be due to the older battery.
Quite acceptable OOTB, and spray pattern is not too bad. A few fliers, but “gel standard normal” is how i’d describe it.
COUNTDOWN METER:
OLD: mine doesn’t work very well, i suspect it is too sensitive, and counts down very rapidly. i.e. fire 3 gells, it counts down 12 or 15 numbers.
NEW: Performs flawlessly. It doesnt count down when the trigger is pulled, it needs passing gells to count as they travel past. But, it works perfectly, 3 shots on semi, and it counts down 3.
A 5 gel burst ( you can count with lower r/min) , it goes down by 5.
Goes to zero when mag is pulled out, resets to 95 when a new mag is inserted.
