Closed Down (Retailers) Updated

Not good for business advertising Halloween specials and then going offline
Maybe a good way of not selling too much stock at a loss of 50% off :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

think you might be onto something there doc :joy:

yeh wondered what happened to tac toys? lots of good blasters and good prices, but now looks like website is pretty much done for? restocking? or closing down?

Could just be switching over to a shopify installation

They gave me store credit on a faulty product last week, but then when I went to use it the site was down??

Should be able to Email them directly, even if the Website is still down :+1:

heard they got done for shipping interstate don’t quote me on that tho

It can take 20 days to transfer the domain to shopify. But if they’ve been down for longer then I am not sure.

I also have heard that rumour.
Could be people just connecting the dots that may or may not exist, time will tell.

I don’t wish for any gel ball retailer to close, I know they had a reputation for their practices in early days but apart from shipping interstate they had made a big turn around.

See what happens or comes of it soon I guess.

Would they have just said so if were the case? Like the site would have said “we’re closing down”? Better to not jump to conclusions I guess.

They might not have to close. Maybe cease operating while they get ass reamed. Who knows :person_shrugging:

is the store front at Archerfield closed for business as well?

The “shipping interstate” thing was common knowledge from what I’ve heard, but I’ve never heard of any retailer actually getting prosecuted for such actions?

Should have happened much sooner ( if this has actually happened).

They should have cracked down, early on, and made an example for all retailers.

Cleavers have to comply with the laws of all states, they sell to.

At the end of the day, it would be very easy to move these interstate.

person A in vic, knows person B in qld, who just mails it down…
Or person A on Nsw, drives up to qld and comes back with a bootful, in their car…

You’ll never stop it, but sellers knowingly selling to banned states are just asking for trouble…

Unless you start an internal customs check which I doubt will happen.

Fucking Karen country.

The legal loophole is it is legal for them to sell and ship it, it is illegal the moment the parcel is received in a state that does not allow them. Most retailers have taken the moral high ground and just refuse to sell blasters to illegal states.

I would guess it would be as @Maiphut says, closed while they get reamed.

I seen someone say the store is also “temporarily closed”, and the phones are off.
It wouldn’t be that hard for them to just post on facebook, or write something on their website to let people know what is going on.
