Thanks @RokSolid I tried a spare sweetheart hop up and it was a snug fit. My new hop up must be a bit looser.

I will grab some aluminium tape and see if that does the trick. I grabbed a spare short barrel off the JG AUG “A3 M1” when I got the folding front grip. The short barrel screws into the gas block and is fixed by the grub screw so is super solid. I might install that and the suppressor it came with. However, it doesn’t shorten the barrel by much at all. The suppressor is a solid 19mm thread onto the short barrel and has a foam insert. It’s not fancy but very functional for stabilisation of the inner barrel.

They were popular as they were the easiest to fit a hopup to. Annoying that they are a unique thread to mount it though.

I may have to go see what they have left too

It would have been my preferred version too but it wasn’t going for $149. However, it has turned out for the best because I didn’t like the flat top picatinny rail on it and now by modifying the A3 I will have all the features I wanted and the closest thing to my preferred F88.

Was an ADAR 2-15 for a Gen 8 blaster

Thank you - well done on the print

Everything is fitting nicely now, need to stain an seal parts, cut barrel to length and replace the inner barrel with a more suitable length.

If the stain comes out nice I might reprint the parts for my ADAR or even buy a M16 receiver from iHobby and make me a NCR service rifle

Hey sorry to hijack But I couldn’t work out how to make a new thread.

Can anyone recommend where to send 2 pistols for repair and upgrade? I have a g17 gbb that has broken something and the slide doesn’t stay locked back and I also have a ge m1911 that I want a metal internal barrel to replace the plastic one.

I could probably attempt the barrel myself - but would rather just send them away and get them done by people that know what they are doing.

Many thanks

My man - great choice.

Depending on where you live, Ellen at X-Force North lakes is their GBB specialist and should be able to sort out any drama’s.

Barrel swaps on GBB’s typically aren’t hard but it’s the barrel itself you need to get right, for example the AAP uses a 8.5mm OD barrel at the breach, but it’s tapered down from 9.5 at the muzzle, the inner barrel for Double Bell blasters fits perfectly but you need to to then stabilize it at the muzzle end.

Sorry yeah should of clarified it was from Fallout.

Thank you so much.

I’m in central Queensland so can’t just pop by anyone hahaha.

I shall given them a call tomorrow!!!

Much appreciated

Not at all - great choice from a fellow fan.

Put a coat of stain on some of that wood filament, doesn’t seem to absorb as much as the other filament I’ve used but it still looks pretty decent.
Was a Walnut stain.

Went over a some spots a bit heavier to try and get a bit of grain effects.

It’s a nice effect, looks like dry sawn timber!

A light strategic wipe with a brush and a darker stain always gives me a pretty good grain effect.

Looks good… interesting technique using wood filament. :+1:

I have a painting tool that you can use to add a wood grain to things like MDF but it won’t really work on anything with a lot of curves. Might give it another coat but not all over, try and create those dark spots.

Got a few pieces to stain. I’ve used wood infused filament before but it was a higher ratio, this stuff was only like 10% wood particles so it doesn’t seem to have absorbed much.

They have other darker blends too but trying to stain them would be pointless.

I used the Birch.
