That’s the one thing that held us back in the fight against the Gelbaster bans here in WA.
We sorta got warned that if we went down certain paths/arguments, we could unwittingly end up with Appearance Laws being bought into the legislation
We are still lucky that we don’t have those laws here, so at least still allows us to have deactivated Gelbasters as Replica Firearms, along with real steel deactivated firearms and proper DENIX style replicas without any laws or permits required
Strangely, the ergos on this little frankenblaster are really good. A very comfortable cheek weld on the sliding stock puts the iron sights right in your eyeline… when they’re on, that is.
Just need to get a run up!
That is weird. When I print things to fit on barrels I usually allow 0.2mm and it fits pretty snug, but it fits, maybe try lube? Or freeze the barrel?
I ended up heating the plastic slightly and pressing it on.
I modeled the spacers to be 9.7id cause a lot of the time I find barrels to be like 9.4 and it’s tight but still can just be pressed on, got it on either way and it’s snug as a bug now, just gotta cut the barrel to length and the new ADAR should be finished.
In the pics it looks like you got the Verniers on the piss!
I reckon that the receiver is looking way to clean and shiny in relation to your beautiful timber work.
A bit of scuffing/weathering/Patina on the receiver would be Chefs Kiss!
Got one! Ex demo but happy to have one all the same.
Aaaand it’s going to be a project and get the full treatment! Pretty damn heavy with the eglm on it, it won’t be something I want to carry around all day!
