Current project on your bench

They do that… unfortunately! The JGs I tried with a gen9 mag worked fine, they were a little tighter but I don’t remember them being super tight or anything.
J13 mags were stupid tight, because they were a bit too “square”.

Gen9 mags are a bit slow, and not the best. I would display with a gen9 mag, and as always SLR mags for gameplay. They fit JGs destroyer and m16 well.

Gently popped it by hand, easy enough fix

Pain in the ass tho

Definitely agree gen 9 for display only

War interest tracer mag will be the go I reckon

I think evey single one of those mags I ever had all popped the window out, but as you said, easy to snap back into place and a couple of dabs of glue is enough to keep them in their spot. :ok_hand:

Yeah… the mag that came with the ACR has a window that’s been glued in janky.

Triggering ny OCD so guess what I’ll be doing tomorrow?

On the upside all of the Gen 8 P-mags I have fit and work fine in that ACR.

Yes I remember a mercy call of a new ACR loosing it’s window in the mag. Like they put it in and it rattled out in transport.

Couple dabs of super glue got that rocking again instead of spilling gel balls everywhere besides where they were meant to be. Bugger for that and factory fitted fault.

Revisited the MP9. I figured, why buy another one when I can modify this one and make the vert grip removable. With grip and stock on, MP9… off with them both and it’s a TP9. :man_shrugging:

So, shell cleaned up flat, removed the handstop, fitted a neat little pic rail and a MOE grip and done and dusted.

Now I get to choose whether it’s a B&T TP9 or a MP9. It’s all about the choice.

TP9 I choo choo choose you

The magic smoke came out of the new Vector today… dead 480 short axis motor.

Had a spanking new red Chi Hai 460 short sitting around doing zip so took a hacksaw to a Gen 8 motorcage and made up a rear spacer plate to take up the gap due to the shorter length.

Perfect fit, snappier trigger and higher rate of fire with that 30000rpm donk in it.

Was there someone after one of those weird M203 launchers that actually shoots more like a shotgun?
found them on iHobby if someone was looking for them

https://www.ihobby.com.au/products/au-upgrade-gel-ball-blaster-gel-jinming-gen8-m4a1-scar-accessories-gel-balls/

towards the bottom of the list they were.

Thank you kind sir.

That was me, I ordered one from a website in China I believe and they at first were communicating with me but have since stopped replying to me emails and I have nor received my m203 so I will definitely be looking into one of these now they are available locally

Still have to wait for the dispute resolution service through my purchase provider to refund for the one I didn’t receive

Curious as to how long they’ve been available on thet because they’ve never shown up on my searches before however it was actually a Bing Feng M203 that I purchased from the Chinese vendor

I strongly do not recommend anyone purchase from this website eagleairsoftnhobby

Cheers heaps mate :call_me_hand:

Bit of a long post, so I’ll apologise in advance.

I really like the look of a KV with the skeleteon stock.

Limited battery storage in the grip though… but classic KV lines. As @RokSolid suggested, running a buffer tube and stock solves that problem.

It’s worth noting the buffer tube you get with the Defiance stock for these Vectors does screw into the Le Hui adaptor and does fit the stock… but it’s slightly smaller than a normal buffer tube, just enough to make a buffer lipo a too tight fit in it. The Defiance stock that comes with the kit doesn’t fit a normal buffer tube either, too tight.

The buffer tube in the above pic is normal M4 sized and didn’t screw into the adaptor, it required some imagination and epoxy to set it in there. But it does take normal lipos now. The bore of the stock needed opening up to get it to fit but a few hours with some sandpaper and a round stock sized mandrel sorted that out.

Found a square drill in my kit, made opening up the adaptor for wiring easier than using a round one.

My dilema is, if I commit to rewiring for the buffer tube it means I can’t go back to the skeleton stock if desired… and I don’t see the benefit of running the Defiance stock if I just keep the grip wiring to keep the interchangeabity.

Two options :

A DK extended battery cover like the one I had on my old Vector, which I’m not a fan off. You lose those sexy Vector lines. But you can fit a larger battery into the grip with them.

A dummy PEQ15 with forward wiring… could be tricky with the tight space in the shell but wiring could be run above the gearbox, plenty of room there.

Pardon my ignorance of all things electronic, but is there an option to wire two small lipos in two different locations so I’m doubling the battery life? Sort of nanchaku style? I imagine it would need some electronic voodoo to make the drain on both batteries consistent or one would be run dead flat? :man_shrugging:

I think you have the batteries wired together in sequence, but you’d need to make sure they’re both the same capacity and charge.

Like this from memory

It’s basically how each cell in a battery is wire too.

If you were to wire them both to the same plug in parallel it adds the tow voltages together.

You can chop out a few fins above the battery area to gain about 20mm of battery space, though does remove some of the reinforcement above the grip, but then your battery space goes up a good bit.
those battery extensions help, but not a lot. I also have pondered front wiring and running a peq box or the front handguard extension… there is plenty of options!

The defiance stock is quirky, and not very helpful for battery mounting! The metal buffer tube attachment is the best for rear battery, but I do agree the skeleton stock is the best looking

Yeah, my brain’s working overtime trying to come up with a forward wiring solution I can live with while keeping the look. :joy:

Came up with this… the battery holder / vert grip from my MP9 grafted onto an old Vector vert grip. In built access door’s convenient but not still not big enough for a decent lipo.

Certainly no good for the Vector but may be handy for some other future Frankenblaster. Into the box of spares it goes.

Unfortunately they’re out of stock of these ones

Fkn bummer

Damn, doesn’t indicate if they’re in stock or not.

Dont x-force or tac edge sell them or some varient?

X-force and tac-edge have none in stock, tac-edge had non firing ones…

These are the springers not the gas ones

@DChapo they definitely messed up, I have a an email saying order fulfilled, then I got the text saying they were out of stock and asked if I wanted the scar style launcher which I declined as it doesn’t look overly nice, and the Ali express ones are a third of the price

I saw the scar ones there and I agree they don’t look as nice.

Do you want it just for aesthetics or an actual functioning one?

The performance of those Bing Feng M203s is pretty ordinary, so hopefully it’s just for aesthetics.

I’ve got one hanging off a SCAR H MK17… sort of a tribute blaster to Sgt Foley’s rifle in C.O.D MW2. But it’s non-functional, slide’s pinned back to make it look more accurate.
