No blasters to work on so custom suppressor time for the Vector.

Thanks Bunnings. :+1:

Looks good! Well done mate :+1:

I’m currently working on this gsl gearbox from sr16 and wanting to transfer it to fit in my ldt hk416.
So I have to change the nozzle head to fit with the T piece of ldt. But a problem arises: the new nozzle head keeps being shot out from the gearbox, or it just doesn’t move at all.
I’ve tried different nozzle heads and tapplet plates but still, nothing works :frowning:
Can I have some help and diagnostics, please?

When you say “nozzle head” do you mean the rubber tip or the whole nozzle piece?
If it’s the just the tip (gigidy) then you can just glue it back on but if it’s the whole nozzle piece than it could be the cutout on the tappet that the nozzle slides into is too big or damaged.

I know LDT was smaller diameter than the JingJi or maybe Cyma nozzles
/Tappet.

Otherwise is there a particular reason you need to change the t-piece also? You should be able to use the GSL t-piece setup, maybe need change the barrel adapter to suit too, not sure on that part.

Yes i mean the whole nozzle, not the tip.
I have to change the t piece of gsl jingji since it cannot fit into the body of the hk416 ldt, hence the change of nozzle and tappet plate.
But thank you, I will check on the tappet cutout.

To what I have seen,JingJi uses a larger 8mm gel style nozzle where the nozzles pictured are ldt 6mm style nozzles the are smaller.
Yes they will fall off. Normally SLR/JingJi tpiece and ldt style tpieces are pretty similar.

The tappet plates and nozzles between the smaller and larger nozzles are different too, not compatible.

Looks like you need to identify why the tpiece doesn’t fit… and make it fit. Which is very much all part of gel teching!

The ldt hk416 body doesn’t fit with the jingji T piece, so I have to use the ldt T piece.
But I’ve identified the problem, it seems i’ve used the sijun tappet plate, and the nozzle doesn’t like it, or the cut out has been worn out.
Thank you all for the suggestions <3

This should be fun… 3DG Glock 17 EBB. Cheers @BME for the kind donation to the cause. :+1:

Love 'em or loath 'em, it’ll be interesting comparing it to BME’s UDL P320 once it’s sorted out. Initial comparisons indicates big differences in performance and operation.

Same concept, but Old Gen versus Next Gen. :man_shrugging:

The p320 wins the battery compartment cover, hands down…

Enough room inside, to build a block of units…!!

3DG has snappier blowback and trigger response.
If it doesn’t jam…!!
:rofl::rofl:

Doesn’t jam anymore.

Just needed a lighter spring in the gel retainer and I took the opportunity to knock the sharp edges off it while it was apart… much better, no breakage, feeds a full mag of medium hardness gels flawlessly. :+1: Does not like the harder gels and tends to jam in the blaster feedtube.

That feedtube and the battery space are my only real gripes about a “not bad” EBB pistol… the blaster feedtube is quiet long and holds more than a few gels. You have to shock the shit out of the pistol to get those gels out when you’re finished using it or they will dry out and cause problems next time. But that’s just a trade-off for the extra mag capacity (roughly 25 ) and the “no gas” convenience of an EBB.

The battery issue’s a hard nut to crack. It won’t cycle on anything other than the OEM battery and that, as you know, is a very tight squeeze. Rout the wires correctly and the cover fits on no problem though… shortened the wires on the lipo significantly too, which helps a bit with debulking.

It would have been nice if 3DG had supplied a slightly smaller battery or a longer cap, but it is what it is. :man_shrugging: It’s also a shame spare mags aren’t available anywhere for these, but at least the batteries and metal gearsets are readily available from M416gelblaster.

This one must be an early Revision model, maybe a Revision 2, it only shows about 150FPS on the chrono, I know the later version with the stronger spring and metal gears put out about 180FPS but that upgraded spring is going to be about as hard to source as the mags.

It’s interesting how 3DG set up their blowback on these G17s.

There’s provision on the left side of the gearbox for a an external gear which engages with a rack moulded into the plastic top slide, gear has been omitted, but I’m guessing it was their first design option.

Blowback’s actually acheived using a solid rod that runs through the spring retainer and pushes against the back of the slide… piston moves the rod and simulated blowback happens… much better than relying on plastic teeth and gears, imho. :+1:

Right up your alley @BME ?

Hey guys, i’m back with more questions, lol.
I’m putting this jingji gsl split gearbox into a cyma/jund m4 body, and i chose the cyma selector plate.
But for some reasons, it just doesn’t work since i can’t switch to semi, auto or even safe.
Which selector plate should i use for this gearbox when putting it into a cyma/jund body?
And what is the golden rule of choosing the right selector plate?
Thank you very much

Just making sure, but are you aware there’s a spring missing between the plate and the disconnector?

Yeah i did forget to put the spring in before taking the pic, but i put it back on now and it still doesn’t work :frowning:

Ok, would have been nice if that’s all it was, didn’t think the plates were that different.

I tend to try the gearbox’s selector plate first, then the blaster’s plate. Might help to mount the gearbox in the receiver, and try to see if the plate slides when selector is moved.

Anyone wanna take a stab at what this $5 opshop brief case is destined for?

No prizes for correct guesses though… whadaya blind?

A million dollars for your next drug buy?

They’d have to be big notes to fit a million in there.
