Current project on your bench

I have not receive my cnc 7075 yet but as soon as i get it i will start my project hope you will help me gu

guys i need some help i dont where to get the spring for the charging handle any advice

Your local harware store should have a selection of different diameter and length extension springs on the shelf or in a mixed kit. :+1:

I reckon we’ve got a broken one of those somewhere you’re welcome to have for spares. I’ll have a look around for it

thanks my friend hpoe i can get some the jinnming receiver has this recurrent problem with the charging handle spring of mediocre quality

may be you are right but i am not aware of any shop who sell these kind of spring in my country that is Mauritius

Yep we did have one, and it still works!

Performance is abysmal however

I know a guy that can wick it up :joy:

If you measure up the spring length and diameter you should be able to pick up a replacement from ebay or AliX easily enough. Although you might end up with something equally as bad as the JM offering. :person_shrugging:

You’re absolutely right about Jin Ming charging handle springs. Way too soft and usually give out very quickly. The trick is to not pull it back to full extension or it will stretch.

Most of us here in Oz have been in the hobby for six plus years so we generally have spares of everything kicking around in the workshop.

Good hunting! I’m sure you’ll find something. :+1:

Sorry but is that handguard crooked? Or is that just the photo making it look like it’s angles up? My OCD can’t see anything else .

It does look crooked in that photo, I’ll give ya that… put it down to parallex error with my camera.

But you did make me pick it up and check… it’s not crooked, trust me.

A mate had a build he was showing me but the thread on the receiver and handguard didn’t match and he tried to used thread tape to fill it out but… You can guess… I wanted to slap him.

Oh jaysus… yeah, that result wouldn’t have been good.

Wobbly handguards and loose delta rings trigger my OCD… so every one I have is correct thread, straight and locked up tight. :+1:

Oh yea, do I need to put another pic of my nothing special shorty CQB beast. Everyone poo poos it though as it Wells based. Got news for you fuckers

It is good though, like tinkering myself and they evolve over time.

Na that’s not quite right, build it, break it, build it better. Out with the 9"

See AR’s are not all that spethal, unless you have a trained ADF personnel that does controlled bursts instead of hopped up yanks doing mag dumps directly at my Uncle.

Sidetrack, I’m looking after a 15 going to 16 yo and going ADF army we are having a meeting later this year with my family and guide him on the right path. That is what I do for Australia :+1: Top lad I can see it in him.

Nothin’ wrong with a Well CQB… great little units. :+1:

Had one years ago and gave it to someone in a moment of stupidity and over-generosity. Should have kept it.

So now just have to be happy with my CYMA nugget build.

hell yeh! Wells Metal CQB was my first GB. I got it and a SKD 9Two on the same day at M4A1 Blasters at Browns Plains. Great little AR form-factor. Slangs so nicely under the arm on a 1-point. I went back the following day and got my son the same in Nylon and a 9Two as well. Heaps fun.

hrmm … i might just go find it now
