As for colour matching, just give it to @BME !![]()

Classic black.
50 shades ofâŚ.
Rustoleum is a decent go to spray canâŚ
Finish can be a little rough, at times thoughâŚ
I just use this stuff https://www.rustoleum.com.au/product-catalog/consumer-brands/specialty/camouflage-spray-paint. Itâs what I used on real steel that wasnât worth going the whole Cerakote shebang.
I donât think itâs real, some things donât add up. Mags look 3d printed or something going on. Blob goo going on back of frame. Dunno ![]()
I meant to paint one in that scheme.
Current projects I brought up bush with me.
Unfortunately I forgot to bring the 3000W inverter to run my Soldering Iron and battery chargers!
But will do a run back to civilisation tomorrow to help out a mate and make sure to bring it back up with me.![]()
Just fitted brand new period correct replica Props with all the right markings, along with some scale model paint additionsâŚâŚ. just gotta finish off the electronics and track down some scale replica underwing 4Lb Rockets for the Typhoon, as well as glue on a full eight Rocket set onto the Corsair that just arrived in the mail. ![]()
You got a permit for such dangerous equipment?
Hmmmmmmđ¤
He uses a standard TM gbbr nozzle but it shouldnât be hard to modify it to fit one for gel.
Heâs got quite a few projects there that are interesting and almost entirely 3D printed and use standard parts, and the files arenât that expensive either.
Havenât dabbled much lately, but the olâ venerable Ze Hua M249 SAW got the treatment yesterday.
Out with the ZH gearbox and in with the Singularity box with upgrade Ausgel motor. Improved airseal thanks to the usual alloy upgrades. Chooches along nicely with a very SAW-like rate of fire.
Cosmetically, Iâm on the hunt for faux 5.56 link, figure I can run a short length from the box mag to the fake ejection port, permanently attached to the mag.
Anyone know where I can get that 5.56 link from a supplier that isnât airsoft? ![]()
HmmmmâŚ
Anybody else old enough to remember Rowan & Martinâs Laugh In? ![]()
Gave Goldie Hawn her start. She was hot in '67âŚ![]()

The Minimi may have been choochin nicely⌠but it wasnât impressing much on the chrono. Best it would do was about 200. ![]()
Itâs been apart together, apart together, apart together all frigginâ day and the last iteration showed 150. And of course, in ABS components like the grip that means stripped screws or broken screw posts
whereâs that gaffer tape. ![]()
Defintely airseal issues at the t piece⌠great compression at the cylinder head. Past that⌠no bueno. The Ze Hua unit was horrendous, about a .5mm gap all around. Pulling it apart, cleaning it and resealing it around the IB did precisely jack shit for FPS. Adding an o ring to the nozzle upped it temprarily but presented feeding issues.
So Iâll shitcan the project until I find a decent Gen 8 t piece and new inner barrel. I used to have shit tons of them lying around but for the life of me I canât find one. ![]()
The other option is throwing it at the wall in disgust.
Gen 8 Jin Ming tpiece is the go, just need to trim a mm or two off the bottom to fit it in.
Yep⌠cheers for that, @RokSolid
JM t piece, 2mm filed of the length of the feedtube at the bottom, 270FPS. For a nylon geared Gen 8, good enough. ![]()
The things we do when weâre bored ![]()
CYMA M4, forward wired through to the foregrip, shortened Noveske handguard, zero rear buffer tube, MP9 folding stock.
Doesnât get much shorter than that. ![]()
So the reality of the uber-SBR M4 gel blaster is⌠itâs shite. ![]()
That 10cm barrel combined with the forward wiring made this little hoover a blaster that wasnât just underpowered (around 200FPS) but also an absolute pain in the arse to tear down for service. ![]()
Iâve got other short units that fulfill that role much better i.e. APC9K, MP5K, MP9, etc.
So today it was back on with a buffer tube, rear wiring and a barrel length of just under 30cm which, with an 80% ported cylinder, seems to be behaving itself nicely producing around 270⌠my sweetspot FPS and not too shabby for a shortie. ![]()
Integrating a length of IB fitted with the rubber band hop up into the suppressor helps heaps with the accuracy.
Tinkering with it has been a fun way to kill boredom, but the moral isâŚ
Maybe donât try to reinvent the wheel⌠![]()
