Current project on your bench

You will find that a normal 9V battery can’t provide the amperage required to get the motor to spin at any great speed.

If you jumped a 7V Lipo Battery onto the terminals, the thing should jump off the bench and fly across the floor!:joy:

Nice. Pop your pins out and the gearbox, could be one of the shitty wires down the side to the mag power. Don’t know, blew your pic up, can’t see anything obvious yet.

Down the rabbit hole you go. You’ll be right, couple people(not me) will help you all the way. We both know who that is.

That UGG boot  :+1: Once you see it you can’t unsee it. Sorry bit busy with plane crashed into a hangar. Phones going off LOL

Nah no pins on this one, they’re fake pins, there’s four screws under where the motor sits in the grip that releases the gearbox, just need a better screwdriver to undo it then the real fun of diagnosis begins :joy:

Oh I’ve got the screwdriver you need, pop round and borrow it. Only a hop skip and jump away  If only I knew a pilot could air drop it. They are all busy atm, c’mon mate stop warring, got an important air drop mission.  Hopefully doesn’t land on your head.

I didn’t use Loctite on those screws if it’s any consolation. :person_shrugging:

But they probably are done up JBS… so they didn’t work loose.

The Vessel JIS(Japanese Industrial Standard) sets I use sort all your woes out. Swear by them for 2 decades now. Wore my first set out. Replaced them. Even have impact ones. So I can give some stubborn bastards…

a group of women are dancing with the words stop hammer time in the background

JBS?

I’m unfamiliar with the abbreviation, I can only imagine it means:

Just Bloody-tight So-they’re-a-c#nt-to-undo???

JBS is a highly technical engineering term.

Means "Just Before Stripped "

Something only the most skilled tradesman know about. It’s like the engineering equivalent of enlightenment and super galactic oneness with the universe, takes years to attain, and fitters who manage to hone their craft to a high enough level use the increased spatial awareness to sense by feel when a bolt is hanging on the precipice and is about to shear torsionally due to excessive torque and stop tightening… hence, JBS.

These special examples of the ultimate practitioners of their trade can usually be recognised by the way they glide around the workshop serenely like Buddhist monks, totally at one with their handtools.

Claer that up for you? @Maiphut knows what I’m saying. :joy:

Oh that one, I did more courses and made it to Fit It and turner into shit level 10. Got my certificate for it too.

Much better than the NAGA award. Never really in to golf anyway.

JBS in my world was, just barely scratched on a breakdown. Here I’ll try the 9 pound sledgy, now it’s completely fucked. HAHA

Oh well need the Mig welder million dollar bearings with a hot Director up my arse can you fix it how long. Well if you fuck off for 5mins while I assess what you have fucked up here then I can let you know what I will need to get it back into production. Oh and btw this is happened as you would not release it a month ago for routine maintenance so it’s all on you pal. All In the report.

Better than my old mans TTYF style of mechanical work.

Who needs Ft.Lb. or Nm settings when you can just Turn Till Ya Fart!:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::rofl:

Coffee all over my phone now!:rofl::rofl:

I just go until my wrist cracks. Beep, yep that’s 40ftlbs

Yeah well the screws are on the verge of being stripped as it is so don’t think I’ll be getting far with this project, can’t get the box out, can’t do shit

Unfortunately I was behind the old man many times over the years when his TTYF torque wrench went off… Couldn’t recommend it!:rofl:

Sorry, not meaning to be rude, just frustrated because I don’t want to wreck the screws and make it next to impossible to get the gearbox out to see what’s going on.

And disappointed because I really wanted to get this going again

If you haven’s sorted it out before the next time I’m down southside I’ll swing by and pick it up if that helps you out. They’ll come out, trust me. :+1:

Worst case scenario, the screw heads can be driled out to get the grip off… what’s left should wind out easy enough.

Won’t be this weekend though… on a long weekend I avoid the M1 like a hooker with scabs.

Yeah that M1 can stay as far away from me as possible this weekend. From Friday midday till Monday night I too will be avoiding it like the plague!

But… I have to work on Monday… SHIT!

good time to hit the water…!!

Jetski away from the crowds…!!

I have to go to the goldy on tues for tax though…

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. I started trying to carefully drill out the one that was stripped to buggery the most, stopped because the drill bit was a little old and felt like it was going to snap so to avoid personal injury which I am actually good at :roll_eyes: so I’ve set it aside for now, at least til I can find the rest of my drill bits

Also noticed slow and steady is probably the way to go when drilling as I noticed a little bit of plastic melt surrounding the screw head, although I suppose a bigger headed screw would be required if that becomes an issue however finding the perfect size screw to replace it may be slightly challenging for me

The Pacific motorway is taxing enough as it is, especially the day after a public holiday… normal week days is bad enough, especially late afternoon

Lotsa blaster shops down on the Goldie…

INCOMING!!
