Yeah, it is a grey and black P90 V3… next to the basic black V4

Hmmmmm… I’m now wondering if it would be viable to drop a V4 gearbox & FET into a V3 shell…

The mag setup is so much better on the V3. Much more positive and solid. Might have to look into that. or not.

Was cleaning out some broken gels stuck inside of this glow mag and accidentally dropped it with my fiddle fingers :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Not a big deal, just a pain in the arse

Good news is I found my roll of solder, just need flux, some heat shrink and a heat blow gun thingy to set the heat shrink to fix it

Also some practise soldering first :joy:

Still gotta get that stubborn gel out the feeding tube, it does not want to move,

Bloody thing :joy:

you can get a bit of old dead wire from anything electrical ,around the house, to practise on.

And, use a cigarette lighter, to set heat shrink.
Just quick , light, rapid passes.
It doesnt need much heat.

Done that before, the result didn’t look too nice :joy: I probably overdid it not paying attention :joy:

Heat it… dont snort it…!!

The fumes aren’t that good …trust me…!!

Went to do the m100 spring upgrade with the young fella watching and learning on the m97, spotted these massive splits in the plastic :weary:

I don’t suppose anyone has one spare? :smirk::sweat_smile::joy:

Yeah right… dammit

I guess Araldite it will have to be

Who’s ya daddy?

Fitted with a 7.3mm restrictor too so it will only shoot one gel at a time… a bit of an upgrade.

I’ll get to the P.O. later this morning, express post it down to you. You should get it in Monday’s mail hopefully. :+1:

It’s a shame they didn’t mould a key on the side of these barrel bushes with a corresponding slot in the receiver… stop the whole thing rotating so freely and giving you a chance to keep a hop up aligned correctly. :person_shrugging:

FWIW, I put a couple of wraps of electrical tape around mine to tighten it up when the two shell halves go back together, stopped it spinning.

You’re an absolute legend :call_me_hand:t2:

I always wondered where the o-ring went to restrict it to single gel firing, now I know lol

I’ll have to find one the same size to use in my m97 as well

However mine and the young fellas one doesn’t seem to rotate around too much that I noticed, feels pretty tightish in there but if I notice any slop in ours I’ll know how to correct it.

Just in case either myself or the young fella breaks another one, would aralditing it be the best way to fix it?

Thank you very much, you’re a lifesaver :ring_buoy::call_me_hand:t2:

Yeah, Araldite would be fine on that. Glue the bush back together first then glue the barrel in. Once it sets up it would be pretty strong… strong enough, anyway.

If you go for the o ring method, the o ring goes into the bush before the barrel goes in. Just don’t squash down on that o ring too much and make sure it feeds okay before you permanently glue the inner barrel up. :+1:

Fooies… great stuff. :+1:

Gotta love a bit of Grohl. :love_you_gesture:

From the series “Alien: Earth”

Basically just a Kriss Vector with a modified front end and a M41A style upper shroud, but very very cool and accessible “Aliens” franchise movie prop.

Don’t know how, don’t know when, but I do know I’m going to have a good crack at it.

Sounds like a job for the 3d printer boys…!

More like the styrene foam and glue boy!

What is this 3D printing voodoo of which you speak?

Basically a monolithic G36 top rail and, as you said, front end, little doohickeys wouldn’t be hard to print and glue on.

Can’t remember how that front end came apart if it could just be straight up printed and fitted.

I just found this on AliExpress:
Outdoor Sports Gel Ball VP9 Q1 Piston DIY Children’s Toys Accessories Casual Game Gift QG709

There’s a few different sizes for different blasters on there, not sure how easy the cup seals would be to remove without damaging the cup

Bit pricey just to get the cup seal off it tho

What size does it need to be?

I’ll pull the young fellas one apart tomorrow and measure if the barrel bush arrives in time before work

The problem with cup seals is that if you get one that’s just a smidge too big there’s too much friction in the cylinder and that slows the piston down, low FPS. Too small and no airseal. :person_shrugging:

But cheers for the link, Shadow… I’ll look into that. :+1:
