Yes yes it’s the reinforced fibre. how you get that charging handle piece out of the tec-9?
Im drilled a hole, about 1.5 cm deep.
I then screwed in a “picture hook screw” (shown in photo).
I soaked it all in hot water, for 10 mins.
I then grabbed on with a pair of pliers, and levered / pulled it, up and out.
No glue, just a VERY tight fit.
The larger circular hole, on the outer barrel, is for fitting the handle once the bolt is back in…
Someone in sten heaven doesn’t like me…
got the new magazine, charged the battery, ready to go.
A few tentative bursts, and this flies out…
tip of the nozzle…
What type of glue, and how do you accurately place / glue / keep the tip clear, without having to pull all this apart…??
@AKgelblaster , any hints.??
Getting a bit over this…
On the positive side, it seems to be feeding better.
it clogged the inner barrel with gels, so it must have kept feeding…
Thinking about the reason. Could you send me a video, it helps me to pass it to the factory to get the next steps. Very sorry the system is still new to me, perhaps something related to the mosfet but I can be wrong
I have got the trigger / cycling working again.
Now, the tip of the nozzle has come out…
It is feeding the gels ,but not firing them out. Causing a jam in the barrel.
How do I glue the nozzle back in properly.??
What type of glue.?
Can you send a photo over? it is easier for me to pass to the factory for advice
I’ll send some photos to your email address…
Is that just the nozzle rubber, or has it snapped the nozzle plastic itself?
If it’s just the rubber, a smear of Gorilla Grip should work fine
Yup. Bob is right. They get back the only concern is Avoiding those that make the rubber hardened.
Just the rubber tip.
Will gorilla glue hold it?
Does it need something stronger?
Gorilla Grip will be fine.
Just leave it to set for the full 12/24 hours, and it will stick like shit to a blanket, and yet still remains flexible to soak up the impacts
Hard setting Super Glue/Epoxy will break/shatter under the same conditions, whereas a soft setting flexible glue won’t
Ok…24 hrs later…gorilla glue has set…
I used some of my dental instruments to reach down, and ensure nozzle was clear.
Gorilla glue expands while setting, so I re cleared it, during setting, as best I could.
Can’t see down into there, without pulling it all apart.
Also, lots of neighbours about at night now, so I’m careful doing too much firing of a very loud cer-chunker.
Net result…
Average fps achieved….80 fps. It was doing 160ish before.
Using older gels.
The nozzle may have been partially obstructed.
It did feed reliably though, so that’s an improvement.
I don’t fill the mags too much, to avoid the mag spring entangling, but I got through 3 mags feeding properly.
I’ll try to confirm fps visually/ range 2morrow, with some daylight…
At least it feeds better…
Thanks for trying it out
Bro, Thats a lot of time and effort on it!!!
I did my best to keep the nozzle tip free of glue…
Its hard to reach down in there, you’d have to pull everything apart, to get the bolt out, to do it accurately…and, the glue expands while setting…
I’ll take it to a quieter place, and test it out further, later…
If it looks like its working, i’ll but some more of the fibre mag feeding mechanisms, from you while they are still available…
A proprietry part, that wont be available forever…
Lets hope i can improve the FPS…!!
Hmmm… 80FPS. Maybe you could try hand running a drill bit the same size as the ID of the cylinder head spigot down the guts of it to make sure it’s completely unobstructed.
But my best guess would be the now glued rubber nozzle’s sitting slighly further back than it was initially when you got the higher FPS, lost a bit of airseal integrity. That’s probably helped your feeding issues too.
At least that issue seems to be resolved now, hopefully permanently.
Quite the saga and journey of discovery, BME. You get lots of pionts for tenacity.
Capricorn nature.
MUST get to the top of the mountain…
it was impossible to place the nozzle, with any degree of precision, prevent extrusion of glue, or clean up to any exacting standard…
Plop and push…
Ok…
drill bit probing completed, and a bit of resistance removed.
Its now getting averages from 140-155, so getting back to 160+ fps average.
it was getting the odd 170-190 fps before, but these are older gels.
I ran 2 more mags through this morning, before too many folks get out and about.
They both fed properly…
I dont know how long term the mags feed mechanism / nozzle will last, but at least its all cycling properly now…
Just gotta work on that welded stock now…!!
@AKgelblaster , i would like to purchase some spares from you, so i have a stockpile of working parts. Once the factory stops making them, they will be gone forever.
Could i please order from you…
-
8 x fibre modded magazine mechanisms ( i dont need the mag shell, just the fibre feed mechanism)
-
2 x fibre t-Piece (white mag to barrel push in piece)
-
2 x rubber nozzle tips.
-
2 x stock wobble stabilising pads
Also, is it possible to buy another wire stock?
(we could cut off the base attachment point, and use it for the other rod style stock)
P.M. me, to work out price / postage…
Its been quite a journey…thanks for the support…
Sure, I will get more printed parts and more spare nozzles. Tremendous thanks !!!
Thanks, and merry xmas…!!
What about me buying another stock.?
All i really want, is the metal plate that clips the stock onto the back of the blaster…
Am i able to order one of those.?
