JinMing MP5K

Let us know how you go with other gels, I got the higher fps from ultra elites, you might surprise yourself….

You must of got the dud one of a batch, or someone really wants paying attention at work.

Seeing as how this make no.3 with problems on the forum I’m inclined to think… Jin Ming.

Maybe it was a Friday blaster. :man_shrugging:

Oh fk and here I was thinking JM may have turned a corner. Same ole shit.

Thank you for showing :+1: Fk that thing then. Got better things to do than correct factory faults ootb

Wish I could pop up the road and squiz your LDT MP5K.

I won’t even bother with the JM as I’ll end up burning it for sure.

@Friendly_Fire nice write up. I did notice the 4 screws and am yet to change mine as I used a mp5 rail which helped stabilise the front a bit more. Any suggestions on screws to replace them with?

Ran mine last weekend and found small burst on full auto was much more enjoyable then semi. It’s a great size for cqb style games and has cemented my decision to hpa it.

One thing for anyone intending on fielding it is be to mindful of the front pin in the hard guard as mine rattled out but was lucky to find it.

Yeah, I found the centre takedown pin on mine gets loose with the mag catch pushed in and can fall out, seems better with the mag out. Rear and front ones are tight enough.

Have to come up with a fix for that, I guess. Maybe work on the spring, doesn’t seem to be very effective. :man_shrugging:

I replaced the four front screws with some same size roundhead self tappers for plastic I had stock of. Anything not countersunk head wil do.

@BME
@Wombat

Any chance of a photo of the mag terminal plates in the magwell of your MP5Ks? Mine appear bent and trying to work out if it’s by design. :man_shrugging:

It does seem to misfeed occasionaly. A wiggle on the mag seems to get it chooching again.

Kinda looks like my slot car pick ups. Do they have springs under them when removing the plate?

Yep, my bad… shouldn’t be lazy.

So they’re angled by design. Cool.

@Maiphut no springs, sits in a slotted recess.

Same design as the Golden Eagle MP5s I believe.

hmm not making contact properly sometimes.

I wonder if the plastic tangs that support the contact plates, looks a bit weak and warped . Maybe :person_shrugging:

Couldn’t wedge a little bit of rubber or something in that little gap between the housing and contacts to push them down slightly?

In here.

I did give the contact plates a little bit of a gentle pry downward, seems much better now. I’ll keep that in mind if it plays up again though, cheers for the suggestion. :+1:

Changed out the M90 spring for a new one, the old one has seen a fair bit of use. Just a slight gain in FPS sitting around high 190s now with WI reds.

I’ve got a batch of these brewing up, we’ll see what I get using them. Should be slightly larger than the reds. :man_shrugging:

BTW, has anybody had any luck in sourcing spare magazines for these MP5Ks yet? Nothing on the net domestic or international.

I checked today to see if the GE MP5K mags fit but different terminal pin placement, so no go. :man_shrugging:

These ones?

Yea Chapo’s post BME put up the other week at iHobby, I haven’t dived off the plank yet.

Don’t think I’ll even get the shorts on to dive in after the above

Aw, its not that bad…

I reckon Friendly fire got a friday afternoon blaster, is all…
Time will tell, when we open the 2nd one up…

Assuming it was a one off, then its the same as every other chinese blaster…
Needs a bit of TLC, out of the factory, to make it right…

Cheap enough, too… the Updated MP-7 was $199, and this is cheaper.
After the quibbles are sorted, it should be decent enough, for a budget blaster with a decent shell…

When i get around to opening the new thommy, it will be interesting to see, what that holds…

Bingo… now why didn’t they pop up when I searched earlier?

Anyhoo… cheers, man. :+1:

It doesn’t come up in the new arrivals but does in the Mag section if sorted by date. Sometimes those search bars are stupid, they show everything BUT what you’re looking for.
