Average FPS with 7.4v lipo & 11.1v lipo respectively
Ultra Elites : 200FPS / 190FPS
Duck’s Nuts : 200FPS / 190FPS
Ice Balls : 190FPS / 180FPS
Pinkies : 200FPS / 190FPS
Slightly better with the 7.4v lipo, I calling this as a 200FPS blaster… I’m okay with that given the 4.5" barrel length. 
Very accurate though. Once I bore out the front assembly to take a hopup it should be laser accurate.
I’m now REALLY curious, how they managed 270-280 fps, out of the kit shell…

Also, it’s probably reasonable to assume, with another 3cm of barrel length, you could get another 20 fps out of it…

Out of interest, i put a mag through the new one.
11v, xforce pinkies.
It sat on a solid 210-225 fps.
Perhaps the 90% ported standard cylinder, compensates for the crappy standard air seal.??
ie 90% port and crappy air seal = 60% port and better air seal…??
Maybe the same amount of air, is available at the barrel.??
End performance, seems to be about the same ( if your barrel was slightly longer)
Yeah, what I’ve taken away from this exercise is that, fault fxing aside, the nett result is not worth the effort and cost of upgrades.
I’m sure if I’d kept the longer barrel length I’d be seeing a bigger difference post upgrade probably in line with yours, but seriously, if yours is sitting on an average of about 215 stock, we’re definitely in the same ballpark. Chop the end off your barrel and you’d probably be sitting on about 190-200… like me. 
It’s basically what we saw when we upgraded your LDT. Short barrel syndrome. I wouldn’t be in a hurry to tear down your kit MP5K if I were you… if it’s hitting hard, don’t poke the bear. 
Do me a favour and run some through your chrono on a 7.4v battery. I think you’ll see an improvement.

Always found a drop in FPS with pretty much any blaster when run on 11V compared to 7V
Yep ihobby and tactoys have some mags. I’m running 6 all up.
As for my front pin, I’ve drilled a tiny hole and used some 20lb nylon coated wire trace. Not pretty but functional.
I was talking to Brent from Oz Gel & Tactical yesterday about these. He’s keen to look at bringing them into stock.
He’s waiting a while and make sure the quality’s consistent before he does. I’m really
hoping the faults with this one are a one off and they prove to be a solid little unit.
Small mag capacity aside, they’re perfect for anyone looking to start out with a blaster that’s not an M4. I’d seriously consider buying one, upgrading the airseal, running a longer barrel into a suppressor and fitting a folding stock. Should be a high 200s blaster with a lot of style points.

I’m thinking about later on tapping out the front sight 14mm CCW so that I can swap between short and long config with a short outer barrel and a suppressor. Get another t piece and have a longer inner barrel to suit.
Of course, I could have just not cut the barrel short in the first place, but y’know… 
meh - my MP5K is dead again. Intead of being seized, it now sounds like a gear is stripped. Have emailed them and are very much hoping for a straight replacement this time.

Sounds familiar to me from half dozen years ago. Be prepared to rectify poor qc and quality.
@Friendly_Fire what is the barrel length you are at now on your K after chopping. The ID too. If you don’t mind or get time. Or I can piss off too is fine 
Doubtful it’ll be stripped gears… if yours has the same sector gear with the missing spacer in it that mine had that’ll make it cock over on an angle and not engage with the piston rack properly. More likely.
That’s four out of five… six if you count Wombat’s replacement. Sounds like BME’s new one is the only one to not have issues out of the box.

Barrel length after chopping is 1RCH from 11cm. Inner diameter is standard 7.5mm.
It’s one of those shitty black alloy barrels that would definitely benefit from a polish in the bore, might look at that later. Or not, just mowed the front yard and firmly in CBF mode. ah, who am I kidding? Where’s the Autosol?

It wasn’t glued in, it was like a cock in a shirtsleeve. it’s glued and sealed now though.
Shame the t piece is so proprietry, otherwise I’d get a bunch and do some experimenting.
