M4 Akgelblaster...Or..( MOSFET...don't put on the red light..!)

By the time this review is done, you wont be able to say the word " Mosfet"…

Like Mooosfeeeeeettt…and without singing this in your head…!!
Your welcome…!!

Mosfet…
You don’t have to drain the battery tonight
Those days are over
You don’t have to trigger that blinking light.

Mosfet…
You don’t have to jam up that battery tonight
There’s enough room in the stock,
It don’t matter, if you sit left or right

Mosfet…
You don’t have to put on the red light
Mosfet…
You don’t have to put on the red light

Mosfet( Put on the red light)
Mosfet (Put on the red light)
Mosfet (Put on the red light)
Mosfet (put on the red light)

To get @AKgelblaster 's attention…

Anyway…!!
Now thats out of the way…into the review.

Lets face it…you got this…
not because you Want another M4…
You Need , a Mosfet ( Mooosffeeett!!) blaster…!!

And with it, the usual mosfet warnings, of Dont Leave The Battery Connected !!!

Not overnight/ long periods…the mosfet slowly drains the battery, and will kill the battery if its left in frequently.

Anyway its a pretty standard Cyma M4…fps a little low OOTB.
Here is a standard pull down video, i’ll leave here for reference…

So, overview and a few piccies…

Its nice and light, shiny new black ( what shade??) and a standard cyma mag.

It has a mag prime on mag insertion, and this is programmable.
Being a CYMA, it has the obligatory orange gearbox.
It has a few bits poking out, which ruins it a little.

Easy fix though, a quick flash of rattlecan, when its pulled apart.

Ok…view from the rear…into the batt compartment.

Being a extendy stock, there is a bit of a trick to get full range of motion, with no cable binding. Here’s the technique…

Start with the stock completely collapsed(below).
Insert the battery on the LEFT.
The connector cables meet, and sit on the RIGHT…as does the charging cable.

Pull the stock back one stop (below).
Ensure ALL the cables are running down the RHS cut out groove, and staying in the RHS gap. If a cable binds , it will pull, stopping full range of movement in and out.

As you can see, all cables are clear, running down groove, and connectors remaining in place. Lets go fully extended (below)…

Yep…all good. connectors staying behind, and all cables running down cut out groove. Put the cover back on. As you retract the stock, the cover prevents the cables from rising out of the cut out groove, and binding again.

Check for full length travel, up and down several times ( giggity!!).

so, performance…

As per china nowadays, its a bit aenemic OOTB.

Using my I-hobby blues, and xforce pinkiesi got a range of 190-210. 220 max.

Not stellar numbers, but not unexpected out of china nowadays.
Should be a good candidate, for improvement.

I’m thinking full teardown, epoxy t-piece, green oring, M100 spring and see how we go.

Its got a normal M4 sized barrel, stopping 1cm short inside the flash hider.
I dont wanna extend it for a hop up, and i dont think an extra 1-2 cm of barrel length will make much difference…so i’ll stick with the original barrel.

Hopefully, should be circa 300 fps after stage one upgrade…
Soon TM …

Quick word about the mosfet ( Mooossfeeettt!!)

  • It has auto mag prime on mag insertion.

  • program via safety position, and hold trigger for 3 seconds…light and beeps.

  • SEMI: single fire or binary. Go nuts on binary, and get around 500-600 r/min. I don’t like going fast on binary, gearbox makes some unsettling noises…

  • Auto: Full auto or 3 rnd burst. 3 rnd burst is fine.

It may have other features, but i haven’t sat down and seriously played around with it yet.

Any more features , i’ll let you know.
So far, its a pretty decent budget Mooossfeeettt!!!

Edit: bit more of a look.

It appears the main choices are Semi: single or binary… Auto: Auto or 3rnd burst.

The LDT mosfet ( Mooossfetttt) is programmable to 2/3/4/5 rnd burst, but this is a bit more basic.

The other parameters which are alterable, are how long the mag prime runs for.

Standard setup, When you first insert a battery, the mosfet ( Moooossfettt) beeps, and magprime runs for 1 second.

Also mag prime runs 1 sec when you change mags.
Both of these times are programmable.

“Mosfetttttttttttttttttttttt”

I know I can’t be the only one , singing it in the shower…!!

You lot won’t be able to get it out of your head now….

From this day on, every time you hear the word “Mosfet….!!”

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Nice review.
Again, I have a video coming but haven’t had time to do it… beat me to it again!

I reckon these will be great candidate for upgrade. Metal gears, metal rack piston, mosfet, 480 motor instead of the normal 460. Should make for good fun!

Dont you mean Mosffeeetttt!!!

I’ll pull mine apart Soon TM.

Busy day…you must be flat out.
Hope the sales are ticking over…!

okay… got it pulled apart.
Getting it back together is a bit of a mongrel…as well as managing trigger / gears etc, have to deal with the top blowback plate.

Spring sprung, out the back on opening.

i know how it goes together…but managing all the parts, all at once, is a bit of a mongrel…

ive retired for the night…2morrow is a new day.

What is that i see…??
Is it a …

Mosssfettttt…!!!

Mossfetttt… you dont have to be put together tonight…!!!

Gears are shimmed, and a reasonable amount of grease, for a Mossfettttt!

Tpiece doesn’t need doing…its already airtight, via blow test…

Also…i’ll hack off the blowback tab…all metal…

I’m poleaxed on port my Dad got me drunk again after a successful day on truck driving.

Oh well gotta have a lil fun, you’ve only got one shot at it.

WTF am I even on about. Ah who gives a fuck :joy:

You’re good fellas make me laugh. For reeelz  :+1:

I don’t think so Tim…

two men standing next to each other with the words i don 't think so tim

When I’m bloody truck driving I aint got time to talk. Eyes on road. Oh thats not the way and why so many accidents you say. Well there is a time and place for everything

Be sensible and focus on the road ahead, behind, left, right, and the cute Lady from Pirsa I definately focused on her a lot in the line up. I couldn’t help it, she didn’t mind being from NSW herself got a taste of freedom. :rofl:I had to yet again sign my life away.

Tell ya the RRT they are shit hot, fully non gov sponsored, I was gob smacked, run a tight ship and all volunteers as I spoke to one Director on the flight line. They are doing awesome, 300k was Fridays effort for SA. Outstanding. Meanwhile the gov does fuckall.

I had a Pirsa fellow take my interview and a few photos so Beemer look out I may be famous.

I got asked how much does this mean to you, think I said have you met Beemer and his 50 shades of everything , Oh right sheep you mean, it is my livelihood, it is my main dual purpose stock. I told them as they are from the east coast how much rain I’ve had for the year and they were gobsmacked, oh here think you need this support hamper thing, more hay till I was full load, a fluffy toy thing said yeah Mum might like that, lollies for Months until my teeth fall out. Busy munching on cranberry RRT brand biscuits and a box of shortbread fingers

Holy crap moosive operation and all done in 24hrs from load in NSW trucked over with volunteer owner drivers that RRT pay $3/klm to help cover their fuel. Not the gov, RRT Rapid Relief Team.

I could only snap a few quick ones when I was parked(legalities).

Spewing I couldn’t take a pic of the horse and cart that came down my right hand side, no shit 3 days to come from just Loxton which is an hour away to get some hay for his horse far out. Oh well like the Director said guess he got nothing else better to do haha click clacking down the bitumen. I thought fk we’re revolving back to the 1900’s lol was great to see though, I’ve ridden a horse but it was an untrained race horse and it got away on me, fk that motorbike please.

Looks like a HINO Truck?

Awesome reading mate and wishing you all the best with all this run-around and relief assistance. :crossed_fingers:

Cheers mate, it’s a Internataional, UD Nissan collab they did, up to 1.5MKlm’s now original engine lot’s of maintenance along the way.

Then you get a smart arse young person pulling you over up the heavy full throttle drag through the Heysen tunnels for blowing too much smoke. Erm how about that SA bus is chalking it out can’t even see two lanes and you are trying to fine me for a quarter of that amount. Fine me then see if I give a fuck, have a cunt of a day a hole.

Must be the UD Nissan that’s jogging my old memories.

Drove a UD 18 Speed Cab Over Twin Steer Tanker for several years, so maybe that’s where I recognise that Dashboard, but they sat a LOT higher up than that!

As for the Traffic Cops, we know where they can go, and there ain’t no sunshine in that place neither!

Yea this is a little 5t, handy for my farm jobs though and it is in reasonable kept nick. Getting older I think it’s going to retire here on the farm with me… and everything else :joy:

Suppose there is the horse and cart option I saw yesterday. Wonder what rego costs on them   Hmm it only had 1 Horse power though, struggle up hills

Should’ve gotten an IVECO

Oooops… sorry.
