Resident Evil Gelblasters...( or, Gotta Getta Beretta..!)

So, i got the “meat tenderiser tip”…
Now installed, and ready to go.

Compared to the other one, it is a bit wider, having the knurled knuckles all around…

It looks good.

I do like it, now.

I saw these when they first came out, and came close to getting one…but decided not to.

RE requiem changed my mind.!! RE REquired…!!

It looks cool dressedup, a bit more detailed than the standard model.

I may muck around, putting some light weathering, on the barrel shroud, for that ‘lightly worn’ look.

Time to take a chunk, out of chunk…!!

PHwoar…this is what you want…!!

I just wish it didn’t have the teabag external magazine.

What’s the latest, on different mags being developed.??

I remember something awhile back…

Can you believe she made this…

all out of Foam.?.?

Awesome…!!

I’d buy that for a dollar…!!

Styrene.

Great stuff for artistic one off builds. :+1:

That’s a great looking piece.

Let me guess…

Ban foam, in Australia next.?.?

:rofl::rofl::flushed::tired_face:

im gobsmacked, by the level of detail…from just foam.

the wings, on the grips…how’d you make that.?.?

So detailed…

and the screws, serrations, recessed areas…some serious skill went into that…

paints awesome too…!!

i’m impressed.!!

Okay…

some people, just REALLY REALLY like RE Requeim…

Didn’t think i’d see this level of dedication though…

I feel bad, for just killing her, in the game…

   :scream: :scream:

Wow…

Gotta say, i just finished RE Requiem last night, and wow, what a ride…

I’m only a very casual gamer, have a PS5 console but rarely use it…

Re Requiem is a must play.

Those crafty buggers at Capcom know how to make great games…

To think the first Capcom game i played was Ghosts’N’Goblins ( still enjoy it, on the arcade to this day…the double run to finish it properly twist is pure evil!!)

Requiem is like playing through a movie, the first half of Grace is pure survival horror. She’s weak, dies easily, too many enemies, not enough ammo, always scared and barely surviving…

Leons the opposite, as a relentless action run.

Compelling story, which is addictive to completion…once you start, you cant put it down…!!

Challenging, but not impossible on standard difficulty, it has replay value to unlock all the extras / side quests etc.

From a technical standpoint, the graphics and detail is insane…and from a production point of view…this would be like making a movie.

Looking at the credits, Sooo many people involved to make these.
It must be a massive logistical challenge to create these games…

Invent a story, design the map, allocate enemies / resources to just overcome them , make it all linked and compelling, then program it all…

No wonder it takes years to make, and release…and then there’s piracy, which
takes away their hard earned work…

Remake of the original RE coming.

Now, to test the b709’s and try to import a 3d printed requiem revolver…!!

Interesting note.

The video game industry, is now worth more than hollywood / the music industry.

The RE franchise alone, has generated over $12 BILLION in revenue…

$9 Billion from games, and $3 Billion from movies / merch… and RE Gelblasters!! ( kidding).

Not bad, for an unknown, low budget initial title, from 1995

GTA V grossed $1 Billion, in 3 days,. after its release.!

RE Requiem has grossed over $600 million, so far…wonder how much it cost to make.?

No big A list actors with proportionate egos and paychecks, in the games industry either…

Though i suspect there may be a few executives…

But then again, Capcom is a japanese company, and they are very conservative by nature…

Finally…

a very interesting story, about how a 25 year old Ps2 game, has cracked the piracy protection on the PS5…

@Maiphut

In case you missed it last week, Backroads on ABC ran a great story on shearing in NSW.

It’s on ABC iView, current season, episode 4 in case you’re interested. Then again, you might have had enough of fleece for a while.

My 14 year old grandson manages a guild of kids developing video games. They are making very good pocket money and able to support their server and provider costs

Cool will have to look it up. I was busy selling wool and riding 2023 YZ250F screamer :joy: :+1:

Hang on a minute she said 1200 sheep over a couple of days with 4 shearers. Fk me do em by 4pm on the first day. Then have a beer and go home, wtf are they pissing around with.

Sorry but that’s a load of crock that sheila has NFI. Technology hasn’t changed since 1790 something. Pigs arse it sure has. Evo plants, Heiniger. Swiss quality steel cutters and combs that cost a small fortune. You don’t bring a shopping trolley to a drag race.

Shearing comps are fun to go watch, shear a whole sheep cleanly in a minute and you can win 1000 bucks cash depending on the fair.

Yet I got working for another farmer and for the whole day I was looking after the shearer peeling one off every 70 seconds. Sorting the wool and getting it out the way. He did some of mine recently, Maori, said he’s sick of it looking to move on because of shit shearing sheep too hard on the body. But nothing wrong wid yours cuz, they are creamers you know what ya doing :joy: :+1:

All I see in that shed is bushpigs waddling around doing fa as they usually do. Yet I can run 5 shearers, 1200 per day, including penning up and pressing along with wool classing. Hard day yes, but I have done it.

MX 250 4 bangers have come a way in 20 years. Still gutless but twist the wrist and send it to the moon they get going up around 45hp about 12k rpm . No torque though. Still fun got a shit eating grin from ear to ear :joy: :+1:

Love how you guys just highjacked beemers thread :joy::joy::joy:

Ha Ha…!

Side note…

After playing (only) Re Requiem …around 18 hrs use…

Controller issue…Controller drift…

Basically, with the controller left alone / neutral position… if has random Left inputs…

A very common problem , apparently…

One might say, built in obselesense…

Solution… pull it all apart, to clean it and fix it.

Most people won’t do that, and just buy a new controller.

Its out of warranty…and pretty pathetic to happen, after 20hrs use…

More Medinchina crap…

Looks like self repair/service aint limited to gel…

Crap laptops, crap Tv’s, crap “premium” console…
Lets not talk about gel…
:rage: :rage:

So I don’t have much time to game these days, but I still do. Been a PC gamer since the 80s so a lot has changed from the days of DOOM being essentially made by three dudes to now.

Some games are great at telling a story that wouldn’t work in movies, or would take up several movies. And yes, the same can be said for books.

My prime example is the Mass Effect trilogy. If you dig Sci-Fi, play it. Fucking amazing journey of a game.
Choices in the first game carry through all 3 games, and all 3 will take you up 150-200 hours to get through!

By the end you become very attached to the characters, and involved in the story that is huge. I know people rag on the third one but imo you are more disappointed that the journey is over.
And it would never translate into a movie or series well because the journey just wouldn’t be the same.

There are plenty of other examples though!

Yep… all about the story.

And, that can be any medium…in the good ole days, that was books.

Good games, are kinda similar, to reading a good book.

You remove yourself from the world, go into a room and close the door…and immerse yourself into another world, for a few hours at a time.

The difference is, books are all text, and imagination…the story is scripted, on rails, and you are a passive observer.

Games…all visual, non linear story, variable outcomes…active participation, and success is not assured. All of that can make a good story, even more compelling.

I can remember reading good books as a kid / young adult… you’d binge on them too…read for hours at a time, and have eyestrain and a headache at the end of it…!!

Not as many people read, for leisure now…thats a shame.

And, longer stories generate more depth of characters, which shorter movies just cant do…

Thats why movie adaptations of really good books, are always a bit dissapointing.

I remember reading " the stand" at about age 10… it gave me nightmares…!!
:scream: :scream:

‘2001 a space oddeysey’, was also a masterpiece of a book…that didn’t quite translate correctly in the movie…

I like the fact that I have absolutely NO idea what @BME is talking about, but can highly relate to @Maiphut ’s comments!

Never ever got into Gaming other than the old Corner Store Arcade games back in the late 70’s/early 80’s, and never even owned a Gaming Console or a Computer.

I’m actually wondering if @BME is still flying Airplanes or has fully retired judging by his busy lifestyle with Gelblasters, his Mum, Properties and still having spare time to play Computer Games?:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Dirt bikes and shearing take priority man   :+1:

@BME er just get some ISO alc on the controller surfaces are dirty, the contacts is usually the problem or just…

I burnt all my rubbish saturday night, could of thrown it on there. I chucked an old 70’s bald motorbike tyre on for good measure. I was warm then with couple mates

Steal her generation allright. Where is she, bit quiet these days. Kind of miss the mongol

I think beemers got a new watch so all should be good in the hood :+1: :joy:
