Like all collections, it starts small, and just grows over time.

It’s easier to fund it to, having stopped drinking, which I did a couple of years ago.
That, plus lack of new stuff, for now, means spending will be curtailed anyway.
Pistols and 3d prints will be it going forward, for now…

Figuring out finishing 3d prints well, and airbrush kit spraying, is something new too.
More time consuming, but better results than rattlecan.
Nothing wrong with rattlecan, you can get good finishes and quicker / easier…
But airbrush allows you different shades, finishes, etc etc…
Confirmed! As someone who also has a larger collection than most, it starts small and grows over time. One must bear in mind that I’ve been adding to it steadily over 9 years, and while many of my things might be worth calling “expensive” that very often is not how I got it.

I have had a privileged position of buying broken/DOA/repairable blasters for a song, then using my own skills and access to a parts collection which likely rivals some stores let alone collectors and hobbyists!
Of course running a after hours hobby business has perks but I will say I worked hard for what I have. I may have spent less than people might think on it, but I did the work to earn it. Both in hours and dollars.
I’ve got probably 20 blasters that currently are worth nothing as they need parts and work. I’ll get to them one day, and put of habit they will likely be far better than buying a standard new one.
