Resident Evil REVO3...(or, Scorpion Evo 3 mash-up)

Which brings us to stocks.
You cant buy them individually, anywhere ive found.

The cheapest way to get one now, is to buy a $200 JM mp5, from ihobby…

I’ve got one of these already, but dont wanna destroy its stock…

anyone know where you can get another folding stock from.??

Let me have a dig through my inventory.
I know that I have plenty of these stocks, just don’t know if they are the complete folding units, because… MANY beers since I’ve looked at them!:joy:

I’ll make it my mission tomorrow whilst I’m in town to have a dig around for you.:+1:

Mate, the way the world is heading, I DEFINITELY don’t want to live forever!:pensive:

if doc can’t find you one

Apparently it will fit, the listing shows it fits Ldt / SiJun /CYMA / JM Mp5 Mp5k

It’s the BT5 fold

https://jinblaster.com/product/ldt--sijun-mp5-mp5k-buttstock

I’ve got a few of those metal sliding rail stocks somewhere as well! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The big difference is my pricetag when it comes to these certain parts to help people out.

When in doubt, grind it out :joy:

Yeah, whatever you do, you’re going to need both sides of the hinge and retention assembly to guarantee functionality… if that’s the outcome you want.

If you’re not worried about it folding and you can live with a permanent fixed stock then does one of these polymer AK jobbies from Blastertech spark any ideas? It’s not exactly what you’re after but graft a vertical strut into it and it might be a step in the right direction? Cheap enough too at $18 to hack up without caring.

Maybe a cut and shut with your existing EVO stock. :person_shrugging:

If you recall this MAC10 Frankenblaster, it had a Blastertech sliding PDW stock grafted onto it. Very high quality products.

The irony of all this is that by losing the EVO stock, it looks less like an EVO… which, in my mind, is undesirable… but that’s just me.

All the mods I’ve made to my Gen 8 EVO were concessions for practicality… if I could have acheived what I wanted (the ability to run a huge battery) without deviating from the original form I would have, and all the front handguard mods, whilst cool and very practical, to me are not the look I’m after and that’s just the reason why you have more than one. :person_shrugging:

My Gen 8 EVO requires two different styles of handguard depending on which mag I use… Magpul shotgun slide for the custom drum, modified MP5 BigRRR handguard for the stick. Not the greatest scenario, but I can live with it.

I do get what you’re trying to do here by replicating a specific game inspired weapon, so full respect for that. I hope you pull it off. Stick with it… you’ll find a solution eventually. :+1:

Never say die!!

I do want to attach the MP5 stock, for looks…

I don’t really care if it folds…it all about being extended ( that’s what she said!)

If i can leave the original lehui back end unmodified, then i can

1: run it short
2: run the mp5 stock
3: attach original lehui stock.

So, i think it’ll be a case of bulk up the gaps, in the MP5 stock, to make it a tight fit…
( that’s what he said!!)

Fun and games.!

Slight correction to that…

i jiggled, poked and twisted…

the whole box flexed, and nothing moved…

so, i stopped.
Invisible jet, gearbox…!

I think mine had a dob of silicone sealant on mine to keep it locked. Just needed a large Phillips head screwdriver and the silicone removed with a fingernail

Almost there…

I bit the bullet, cut down a stock , and got it on one post for now.
The cut /fit worked out pretty well…and its actually reasonably secure , even through one post.

Black M5 screw, 35mm long , from bunnings is a perfect fit.
Nut tightens up quite firmly…i’ll drill another hole 2morrow for the 2nd post.
That’ll give it more stability…and i’ll pack the inside with 1.5mm thick adhesive tape.

That should "bulk it out " from the inside, and secure it.

I was going to do my 2nd one black…but now i’m thinking tan…

just gotta get the kit bits, from O/S…
That’ll dress it up a bit more…

And, get the black of the stock, to match the black of the blaster…

50 shades of …!!!

:scream: :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Superb color choice :ok_hand: looks great

For the black, highly recommend this stuff…

$20ish at Repco, sprays beautifully, dries superfast. Looks good on it’s own but really good with a flat or satin clearcoat over it.

Best of all, it doesn’t spray on thick like Rustoleum and make your blaster look like a birthday cake. :+1:

This is what happens, when you buy 2 cheapies…

Don’t you hate it when you run out of Flat black…

This is a candidate, for a decent coat of Smoke…

You spray the trigger in place?

No reason not to, I guess. I pulled mine out to paint, but when it’s all together again it looks the same no matter how you do it. :person_shrugging:

Yep…

tape around the surrounds,
small hole in A4 paper, pushed through…

trigger only exposed…done. Spray away.

What is sprayed is all exposed… all is black when its back in the receiver…

I wanted to have a pleasant afternoon

Left the gearbox in one piece…!!

Only because it’s not going to get regular use, otherwise it would start to wear after a while
