TEC-9 and a 3 day growth! (Or..Big Trouble, getting it in from China !)

Not even reading what you just posted as you talk in circles.

  :stuck_out_tongue:

Ausgel blues

X-force pinkies

2196.5 fps,

@Maiphut I believe we have a winner :trophy::joy::rofl:

Results not that surprising…
Bringing back the childhood memories.?

Gonna leave yours as gold, or repaint ti black.?.?

I’ll admit the results are a little disappointing, it was advertised at 200+fps, it doesn’t appear to live up to its claim,

probably would’ve saved money buying from m16a1 like you and purchasing the ā€œtracerā€ which isn’t a tracer  and tried to find the foregrip to buy separately

If I could find the foregrip, but haven’t so far

You want that dollar pay passed? :joy:

it’ll do 200 fps…

If you shoot vertically down…gravity assisted descent…!!

Or maybe jump down from a ladder, firing through a stationary chrono…!!

Lets call the pizza bet a draw…until next time…!!
Dollar bet.!

I was getting better results last week with other gels

Yeah rito

200FPS from that was always a dubious clam from the seller. seems the blaster has the same performance stats as the real steel. :joy:

Which is not to say you couldn’t get it up there with some extreme upgrades… but how many times it would cycle before going all Chernobyl on your arse would be a bit of a lottery.

Best to leave it stock and just admire the form factor. Hey, you’re one of the few who actually have one.:+1:

Well there you have it. As requested we have a winner. :1st_place_medal:

Now somebody owes Shadow Pizza, can’t argue with those results.

Gold finish looks great on it. Nice one

Found the foregrip

$35 from ihobby

sold out at x-force and command elite hobbies

If anyone’s chasing one

Just wanted to share, there’s a new version going around with some new attachments added to the package:

Interesting…
But, it makes it look like an arp-9…not a tec-9.

The arp-9 has better performance and longevity than a tec-9, so I don’t think I’d bother dressing it up…

Ah, different though… I like different. :+1:

Good point about the performance though… might as well just buy an ARP9. :man_shrugging:

Not keen on the colour to be honest, the extended muzzle looks alright but plasticy ASF

Maybe if the tec and muzzle was painted it would look better

Pass on the stock

Ooo black looks good like that tho

$75 at command elite hobbies

True, though its biggest advantage in China at least is it’s price. Goes for around 10 USD and sits comfortably in poverty tier, aimed at kids just beginning to get into the hobby and also adults who just want to fuck around dual wielding these and not really care about them breaking. We got a couple dudes just running around akimbo style with these and it’s a gigantic laugh fest every time.

Wow, $10 USD…that’s cheap.

Around $80 AUD here.
Mind you, we have to pay shipping, import taxes, gst etc…

They literally must cost $4 to make…

Makes sense, people buying them as ā€œ breakable / disposable blastersā€¦ā€.

Too bad you can’t really do too much, to mod them…

Cheap way to get a smaller extending stock…

For US$10 I’d buy one just for the stock… if I already had one, of course… which I don’t… and won’t

Hey @shadow187 just wondering if you’ve removed the TEC-9 Decals, on your -9 yet…

A few hints if you haven’t, and you’re interested…

The big thing is, go slowly , and avoid really harsh rubbing.
Otherwise, you’ll rub some softened plastic away, and mark the plastic.

To get a really good result, this is what i did.

  1. i used those disposable presoaked cleaning wipes.

  2. I used just a touch of turps , to start with. Only a really small amount at a time, otherwise it can chemically melt the plastic. Be patient, dont try to do it all at once…gentle rubbing. Rub a dab of liquid soap on it afterwards, and rinse off.

  3. I started off with turps, but then switched to Tamiya Paint Remover. Its about $20 from a hobby shop. It removes paint really well, and doesn’t seem to attack plastic as much as turps does.

Go slowly, dont try to do it all in one hit. Do 2-3 mins, be happy with removing just a little more, rinse off and go slowly. Four sessions or so should do it. Avoid using earbuds, you can press really hard with them and scour the softened plastic. Finger pressure using a wipe is fine.

You may already know all of this, but its good guff for any others who may have been interested…

Nah I’ll probably leave it as is.

At least for now.

But cheers for the procedure tips, I’m sure they’ll come in handy for anyone looking to remove painted markings on the Tec 9’s as well as other blasters.

Cheers

+1 to that extended muzzle. Kinda makes it look like a different gat
