Classic mid 80’s soundtrack 
Everything seemed to be more fun and meaningful than the commercial crap pumping out from the marketing industry these days
And I hated the 80’s at the time, other than our Aussie bands, as I was more a 60’s-70’s music fan 
Hearing that Do Re Mi Man Overboard certainly got my pulse going though!

The “Australian Made” concerts were at arguably the pinnacle of Australian Bands and live performances.
This era experiencing these Live Concerts and awesome Legendary Australian Bands always sends shivers down my spine and brings a lump to the throat 
Turn the volume to 10 and soak up the atmosphere of the pure brilliance of the live concerts that we had the privilege of experiencing growing up through the 70’s/80’s/90’s

This local music chat just reminded me of a really funny personal story.
Met this chick through friends in the local music scene years ago.
We would casually keep in touch and chat about the mundane crap happening in our lives.
Was mainly through Spacebook Messenger and odd emails.
Over time our banter went quiet between us and had almost forgotten about her until another friend asked if I had heard from her recently.
In my usual fashion of not having much interest/interaction with social media, I sent her a message to check in and see how she was doing.
Her reply was something along the lines of……
” I see that you still don’t have a television Bob”.
I replied that no, I still don’t have anything to do with TV/Radio/Internet etc and that she never gave me a straight reply or told me what she had been up to since we last spoke
Her simple reply was links to these two songs and suggested I should google as to why she had been so busy lately!
So I googled her name and found this 
I had no fkn idea
Last few times have been able to message her since, now is doing very well as she got contracted with Disney Studio’s doing Musical Recordings/Voice Overs

Never seen or heard any of this stuff before.
I do remember that she said that the TV talent show was not a good experience.
Had already been exposed to the nasty side of commercialising and sexualising of young artists early in her career and only went on that show in a hope to able to get her own music and personality out to the people.
But as usual, they immediately told her what music she had to do, what clothes to wear and how to act etc etc……. putting her straight back into that bullshit fake industry that takes away a performer’s individual goals and turns them into a fake persona that’s carefully constructed by the Record Companies PR planners and carefully managed Media marketing 
I think she was trying to get out of the public spotlight after all that and get back into promoting herself as an individual and enjoying her own musical goals.
This was all many years ago and haven’t been in contact since way back then, so have no idea what she’s up to these days

That’s how we got chatting in the first place, which is why I was so shocked when she replied about going on Television and going through that whole shitshow again
