Insurance is terrible as a bloke on p plates I’m paying $3000 a year on full comp for a car that’s older then I am. So many government fees as well I’m switching to a manual license as I need it for my new car and for work and I have to pay for a whole new test and new license with no assistance from the government even though I genuinely need it for work. To many fees involved with cars a workshops are packed due to a lack of younger people entering the industry so work takes double the time.

Should fit on the roof rack of the cruiser

Costs for mums car/ year…

Rego…$ 780.
Insurance…$800
Maint…$600
Fuel…$1200.

Total: $3380

Cost of subsidised( half price) taxi vouchers,
For her , two local runs to the shops per week ($80, she pays $40)

Cost: $2080.

No brainer, no risk, no chance of her causing an accident.
Joys of living in a self contained, sattelite suburb.
North lakes has all the medical facilities you need.

My mate had his nose clearance, bore out operation done there

easy release, for when you bog it…

my cracked chassis land cruiser could probably tow you and your mums car through cape York with no problems.

if it could make it up there…

Do you have your passport, for leaving Vic…??

Not until I get my seats reupholstered apparently

They dont let victorians, out of victoria…

The walls are to keep people in…!!

Good luck.!

To be fair you can go alot damned further then me in my little petrol thing tho i dont envy your wallet. The cost gets even worse if you factor in a bigger fuel tank from someone like arb.

Also the whole extra test is why im glad my little thing is a manual, no need to go for that and deal with a person who if they dont like how the clutch is can fail you instantly for poor control.
Tho be ready for the fun cost of a main rear seal oil leak as its a full transmission out job with a brand new clutch needed aswell when that happens.

Mazda 3 porn pics…

This has got to be, the best presented 2013 for sale in Qld, in terms of age / kms / condition.

One owner, service history, genuine 65000kms, nil accidents, spent 98% of its life undercover in a garage…

Lets see what the lowballers can find, to whinge about…

" i dont like the blue…the leather gets too hot…its only 5 speed…the fans too loud…theres a scratch on the dash…your boots up my arse…!!"

Using the copy and paste marketplace description I see

Don’t have to worry about that my car mechanically is beautiful well serviced reliable diesel engine and a brand new gearbox with all associated components. The money I paid for it was pretty much for how healthy it is mechanically because the car was a farm car at some point so the paint and panel is eh at best and there’s some rusty spots but mostly surface rust which is to be expected for a car of its age. Doesn’t matter though I’m a panel beater so the car will look brand new and the major mechanical fault of the chassis crack is common and I gave the bloke at work a slab to weld it perfectly so it’s back to being old faithful. A land cruiser might look rough but it will still be more reliable then a brand new bmw or Honda

Why get full comp? Just get 3rd party, 105’s aren’t exactly rare or expensive. Depending on your situation I guess.

RWC is a load of crap. Glad I live in a state that isn’t that much of a Nazi. 70% of this states cars would be off the road and they know it.

I don’t own the car outright and 105’s have a market value of $16400 according to my insurance which is more then I paid for it. Any landcruiser is still an expensive car cruiser tax isn’t a made up thing it’s been inflating market prices since Aussies started replacing their old land rovers with cruisers.

Fair enough, don’t crash and it will get cheaper :+1:

If I slice my cock off I get a $500 discount on my insurance aswell.

I’ll double it for you😂

At least you won the lottery on a bloody good diesel 5 speed mate :raised_hands:

If you got a petrol automatic, you couldn’t afford to even back it out of the driveway to get to the bloody fuel station! :astonished:

It’s a sweet ride that you got, judging from the photos and information that you sent me, and definitely worth the effort getting the old girl squared away for those Nazis at VicRoads.

I think I told you in our messages, to rego it under your parents names for the insurance, and simply get them to add you as another driver to the policy.

This will save you plenty of money and yet still be fully insured.

As for the Rego inspection, these can vary wildly depending upon where you get them inspected.

Inspection Centres used to be run by the Government, but like everything else, they dismantled that government department and palmed off this work to Private Inspection Stations.

As such, the conformity between different inspectors varies wildy depending upon where you take it.

I’ve been building/modifying Hot Rods/Classic/Muscle Cars for over 35 years, and a HUGE part of that work entails working within the DOT Guidelines and many various Government rules/laws regarding compliance to vehicle inspections and having to comply/pass ALL regulations required for registration, most times involving Engineers and Engineering reports as well.

I’ve seen my fair share of Private Vehicle Inspection Stations that are knocking people back/picking faults that are absolutely LEGAL by Law, and should be passed for Rego, but instead picking on things that aren’t even in the category of failing an inspection, just so that they can deny rego pass to get those people to have to rebook another appointment purely so they can charge for another inspection fee.

Privatisation and Capitalism have a lot to answer for in these bullshit situations.:rage:
