I forgot how good HL2 is…
It’s been forever, since I played it…
Ravenholm is stressing me out…
Damn fast zombies…!!!

Full body shot of yours, for comparo.??
The pistol in HL2 is not a glock.
It’s a USP match.
I have a Kele USP.
I wonder… a paint job, and a moderator….
Hmmm….
It looks black, to me…
I’ll just post this , for future reference…
I had to rediscover, how i got the black, on my first SPAS.
The flat black was too dark, absorbing all light, no reflected light.
It lost all the contours, lines etc, and looked a bit muted…
BEFORE… ( pure Dymark Flat)
The trick was , to use
Rustoleum ULTRA MATTE… and followed by a coat of tamiya TS-80 flat clear coat.
The ultramatt gives it a bit of a reflective sheen, wihout being over the top.
The clear coat dulls it down a little further.
The finish looks comparable, to other “brand new blasters”.
Maybe, some weathering to follow…
A bit more sheen noticeable.
Also…
Whaddaya think, of the Spay Kay -47.?.?
OK, with an AK.?.?
What a conversion…
From pump action / 6 shots to…
Inline M14 gearbox / mag fed / full auto 360 fps SPAS…!
That’ll sort out the zombies, in ravenholm…!
I’ll leave it to the adventurous types…
Well that’s different. Nice work Roksolid
It’s only a fantasy at this point…
Just throwing the challenge, out there…!!
It does look mean though….
In this video there is the Dymark crack testing and a bit of an explainer how I used to use it on the old English 650t up to 850t presses to see the fatigue usually on the moosive conrod or the crank. Grind it out and get welding for days LOL
Pinky Dymark also used for crack testing the alloy passenger car wheels and truck rims in QA to see any faults in the testing phase and needs correcting to pass ISO standards.
Usually some adjustment in the tooling and an engineering change, yep into the drawing office, oi this is no good
That’s exactly all the stuff I used to do when I was in the Mining Fabrication and Machine Shops for many years.
Good to see him broach the topic about those pipes becoming pressure vessels, as I’ve heard many incidents of people being injured or killed when overlooking such small details on backyard jobs.
I could smell this whole video, even that CATERPILLAR Yellow paint, and got the tingling returning to my hands from the sound of that Needle Gun!
Our Liquid Nitrogen was decanted out of large Stainless Steel vessels that we would bring into the workshop with the Forklift, which would stir up on the bumpy journey and vent off with a deafening whoosh that would have everyone shitting themselves thinking the Tank was about to explode!
We used to do both Dyemark and Magnaflux crack testing on components, and X-Ray or Sonic Testing on special critical components.
It’s certainly an interesting industry and LOTS of things to be learnt.
PS: We would get our arses kicked if we left those soft slings left attached right next to where we were welding/grinding!
Yep, all alloy passenger car wheels used to get X-rayed too for porosity in the casting, lvl3 was acceptable, lvl 4 and higher back in to one of the three biggest smelters in the southern hemisphere for you and have another try
They had one blow up one day as an inexperienced worker did not leave the 1.5T ingot on the pre warmer long enough to get any moisture out and threw it in the furnace. Fuk me dead, went off like an atom bomb blew all the brick lining off the interior and splattered molten alloy on the 100ft high workshop roof. Operator burns(survived) but was down for three months while us maintenance boys rebricked it and straightened out the mangled loading door. It was a mess. fun fun
Just like watching Curtis’ work as he gets it right, out with the 1x2x3’s for this bit. The outtakes are funny as that’s like me, these fucking seals are a cunt whoever invented the fucking things. They sure are!
One final bit of blurb, on painting black…reminder to future me…!
Should you wish to repaint a blaster back to “New blaster Black”
I used Rustoleum “Matte Black”, followed by a coat of TS-80 flat clear.
Rustoleum can spit, so hold at a distance, with several coats.
Final result photo…grip and receiver of SPAS ( painted) vs M4 Spectre (Factory paint)
Very, very similar results.
Notice the shade of black acheived, amount of gloss overall, and reflected gloss on the grips.
Pretty close, and smooth finish with the lacquer.!
Black is black
Got a bit of a black fetish thing goin’ on there, Beemer…
Awesome Spectre man! Where’d you get that toy?
A funny little backstory, behind this…
ABF, is always…entertaining…
From Go to Woah, the Fro is the Go.!
Dont be ill’in, just be chillin…
Shades of velvety black, will soon be fillin…!!
Peace Out!!
You forgot the Peace out 5k G
Funny story about the needle guns we had dozens of them to chip all the paint off inside the alloy wheel paint line and would be done every Saturday in the weekly PM day.
There was always some fkr that would hit the fire suppression system, nekkminut fire dept is out and managers going off their head because if there is no fire they charge you $800 for a call out.
Ah FFS next time start a fkn fire or something at least
It was on auto call out as soon as the water pressure would drop meaning the fire system is in use the firies would spool up and be on their way as they had the factory monitored. Meaning you do not have to call them.
By the time we tried to call them and say it is a false alarm, too late already here.
