What Did You Get Up To Today?

Oh yea the weapons are unreal, that’s what got me, can’t wait for more. The Vector is insane  Loving the FAL.

Ditto with Pvp, I wouldn’t cut the mustard these days. Good how you can adjust the AI difficulty to suit. They can be extremely hard.

Went for a game, great day out, hot but not too hot. Nice! Plenty of fun.

Couple of tests carried out…

Tested the hell out of the vector with the CNC MK Tactical box and the new T238 motor. Around 10000 gels spent and all went well! And best of all… I don’t have to pull it apart again! And also only used around 800mAh of battery to do it! Not bad at all, for ten thousand gels!
It is 13:1 short 4 teeth, 25k T238 brushless motor, asg M135 spring (pretty similar to an SHS m110 on my experience, maybe a hair more fps). Running 320fps and 25-26rps. Very happy.

Also 3 of us ran a ton of ultra elites v2s. 2 guys were using ones grown yesterday, and I was using the ones I grew a month ago that just sat in a bottle. No problems and ran really well. Might have finally found an ultra hard gel I am happy to run.

So good day with good results from two tests!

Spent a pleasant morning on the back verandah sorting the foibles on my big boy M14 EBR.

LPVO is now set correctly for eye relief, grip wobble’s eliminated, rear stock slop’s sorted, ergos aren’t at all bad for what it is.

It’s amazing what you can achieve with a little time and aluminium flashing tape. :+1:

Wondering why I still live in NSW haha

To compensate I’ve been addicted to one particular video game lately.

Anyone heard of a game called Satisfactory?

Satisfactory… factory building game, yeah?

I dragged out COD WW2 and had a play around in the campaign again today. Pretty much “Band Of Brothers” in FPS format.

Did make me want to go out and get a Thompson, MP40, Kar98, Lee-Enfield .303, M1 carbine, PPSH-41, Sten, blah blah blah…

More military historical instead of modern military tactical. :man_shrugging:

that’s the one. Satisfactory has been good fun trying to plan out this stuff.

Sea Power in the Missile age just came out so I’m busy slinging SM2’s and Tomahawks in that from various ships, pretty cool has the BB Iowa class battleships fitted out before they were retired with missiles and CIWS along with the 406mm main guns :+1: :+1:

Not a computer/gaming person… so I’m totally lost on all this!
Spent yesterday fitting the flares to the old Kettle to cover the muddies from the Popo giving me grief.
(Get a non-aussie to decipher that sentence):stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Bad move, as I can barely walk or stand today, so going through all the piles of paperwork for the Disability pension application instead.

On a good note, had first meeting with the Advocacy Group two days ago, hence all the paperwork, and things are definitely off and running with plenty more meetings and appointments coming up with the respective parties involved.

Shit timing due to Christmas and New year’s only around the corner, so that’s limiting the amount of time I have to get everything compiled together for the application due mid January :face_exhaling:

What make is the 2 tone beretta.?

Did it come like that…?

Im looking at getting my KEle cerakoted, black upper slide, for the wesker model…

Not sure of the brand. It is a Taiwanese manufacture and came like that. It is from a previous life in the 1990’s and has been deactivated

Haven’t really done much in the way of hobby stuff since Dad passed away. I think the Mrs was getting a bit worried about me so she suggested I go out and do something  Spent a day having a swing with the metal detector on what was apparently quite a big Australian camp during WWII. The camp area itself seems to have been obliterated when they put a pine plantation on top of it but as you can see there’s still plenty of brass left from the rifle range. Weirdly enough most of them are WWI-era or earlier CAC headstamps, so much so that I ended up contacting the local historical society to confirm that this was the wartime military range and not the old civilian range. Presumably they were just burning through old ammunition stocks. Funnily enough, all the WWII-era stuff came from the back side of the old backstop berm and the earlier stuff comes from what I presume was the firing line with bullets scattered along the length of the range so who knows what’s going on  Couple of roundnose .303s and a boattail were interesting, along with a Kynoch from '42 and a Winchester Repeating Arms .303 from '43. Got a funny looking necked-down .303 with an MQ 44 headstamp as well, don’t know what’s going on there.

Interesting. The necked down .303 might be a .303-25. But don’t think they were used in Military just civilian :person_shrugging:

The boatail projectile looks more like the standard 7.62x51mm M80.

Nice finds mate!
Similar to a few pieces I picked up from the Secret WW2 US Airbase up in Corunna Downs Station a few years ago.

My old property where I lived was also once the local shooting range in the late 40’s through to the 1960’s, but was then used as a gravel pit for a couple more decades, which removed most of the brass to be found on the property

Very possible, I think the range might’ve been in irregular use after the war. I’ve got a single '57 dated .303 from the same spot. It’s a wartime casing though, MQ was the code for the Small Arms Ammunition Factory in Rocklea. Probably some reused brass?

Pretty sure the boattail bullet is from a MKVIII .303 for the Vickers MG, I’ve got a handful of MKVIII casings as well.

Cheers Bob :+1:

There’s a ridiculous amount of .303 just sitting on the surface at this place, I could probably fill a 10L bucket in an afternoon  Shame most of the old WWII camps here in SEQ are either hammered to death by detectorists or under housing/industrial estates. Funny thing is that my old man used to play in a few of the old camp sites I detect, he used to come home with all kinds of treasures that were still just sitting in the bush in the 70s. Now it’s a struggle to find anything worth bringing home.
