My impression of original Stalker one was crash, crash, crash. Finally got in the game, when to the first quest giver, a roving band of soldiers came in and killed everyone - uninstalled after that.
Went to do the shopping - got 2 bags in the trolley, only brought the 1 bag back. Went back and the trolleys gone and no bag of shopping anywhere. Called the wife about me being a dumb, dumb, she tells me she just scratched the car again… Just one of those days.
POE2 so far after waiting nearly 3 hours. But It’s great so far.

Spent the arvee on the guitars… good day.
Fitted a spanking new Gotoh trem to the Tom DeLonge strat, new 9-42 Ernie Balls, full setup, feels and plays great.
Full clean and set up and new strings on the 80s Korean Ibanez TR HSS stratlike thingamybob… was cheap in the day but very cool and quite collectible these days. One of the best necks I’ve ever played.
Need to spend more time on the strings and less on the piston springs.

I bought my strings from a local guitar shop, had to pay $23 a set… ouch! But ridgy didge EBs.
Sure I can buy Ernie Ball Super Slinkys on Fleabay for under $10 a set, or 3 sets for $25, but I’ve been caught out before. Bootleg poor quality knockoffs, don’t last, take forever to stretch in.
But you’d never know to look at the packaging, bang on identical even down to the paper string sleeves.

Reminds me of a time years ago when I was bagging the shit out of our Rhythm guitarist in our band.
We were doing a rehearsal and he’d just fitted some K-Mart quality strings, and he just couldn’t keep it in tune for a single song!
I gave him the shits for ages after always asking him if he’d packed his “bunjy” chords every single time we played somewhere
