What Did You Get Up To Today?

Yea sometimes it’s just not worth it depending on market and situation.

My ole 110 Defenders I was going to park them in the scrub and let em rot. I advertised them and got hits within hours. First one was a scammer wanting me to pay transport of $1700 to get them to Victoria. I said fuck off you want it you pay the transport numbnuts.

Couple tyre kickers, then a fellow from Wollongong enthusiast snapped them up. Planned to put LS in both with modified Dana diffs and stuff. So went to a good home.

Yeah, the old Brumby’s fetching a buck ot two these days… and there’s only one on the market up here atm.

Yes they sure are. Most of them got used for farming back when the Gov did Tax exclusion for primary producers which they do not do anymore. Get a new Brumby for $9 grand tax exempt back in the naughties.

The old Brumby we had on the farm was bought from the original old pensioner owner for $1200 licensed with full service history!

Those were the days, Bob.

I bought an AE86 Toyota Sprinter coupé for $3K back in the mid 90’s… try buying one now.

My brother had one of these, a KE30 Coupe, but his was the Toyota mustard yellow with white stripes.

The water pump shat itself and the radiator had a leak, he was on his P plates and didn’t have enough money to get it fixed, so left it parked under a tree on the farm.

He ended up getting a cheap shitty DAEWOO which he reckoned was better because it was a “newer car” rather than fixing the “old Corolla”

Last I seen it before the farm sold, it was still sitting under the tree, but the rust was starting to take hold of it after so many years left outside neglected

Now those Rollas are damn reliable.

Dad had a KE20  wagon he used to deliver newspapers in. Removed front passenger seat, loaded to the gunnels with the Sunday Mail and me squashed between the roof passing them.

I’ll never forget, this prick hasn’t paid for weeks doof straight into the letterbox demolished it.  oopsie lol

If i can interject the wheeled wonders, with some room rennovation replacements…

For my unit near the airport, i have to get the guest room liveable.
This means getting the arcade out, and a new desk in.

The arcade was to go in the living room, where space is a premium, and didnt want the tall stand up cabinet taking up room, and competing with the tv.

Bedroom Before:

Bought a larger ikea set of drawers, to use as a smaller sit down table top.
It was white, so i had to repaint…garage time…sand / prime/ paint ( best colour match, for feature wall )

Where its going…

Table in place…reasonable colour match…

Arcade set up…complete with vintage 80’s seating…!!

Mate I would have pulled the arcade machine up to my bed and call it done

Nice work. Might have to upgrade the milk crate

Whats that?

Not good enough for you fussy buggers…?
I didnt have fancy fake leather seats, growing up…

I picked the table, to be at the right height, to use the dining room table chairs on…saving space. All at the right height,

Whats in the drawer, you say…??

Emergency in game reloads…!!

Flat packs all done for the bedroom, desk in place…

Whats in the drawer, you say…??

Did you need to ask…??

Ah that’s better Mr Wick :+1:

However, should your tastes require it, a local centre can provide Drive By dining…!”
