Slowly but surely modding my Squier Mustang up to Fender spec.
Ditched the cheap Chinese ceramic single coils and crappy electronics, DiMarzio Alnico V humbuckers coming in for the new HH pearloid pickguard, new Gotoh tuners, Gotoh hardtail bridge, CTS pots and switchcraft selector switch and output jack.
Full copper sheilding in the cavities, although with 'buckers not really necessary. Still, while you’re there, might as well. 
Some work with a Forstener bit to allow rotation of the selector switch to the vertical, much betterer and more intuitive when you’re playing than the original front to back setup.
The unfinished one piece maple neck’s downstairs drying after getting a couple of coats of clear gloss. A few days to settle then it’s a rub back with 2000 grit wet and dry before final polish. Fretboard edge rolled and frets levelled and polished smoother than a baby’s bum. 
Should sound like a beast, and a joy to play and bend notes on with it’s short scale length. Good times!

Humbuckers in, all wiring done… just waiting for Mr Postie to bring me my set of mail order Elixer 10s and it’ll be grungetime.
Lovin’ the look of this thing… $100 for the guitar and several more hungies on quality parts, but definitely worth it to get it up to better than Fender standard… not that that’s difficult to acheive.

Played at Blacksite last night. Some of the players had an exceptional loadout - custom MWS GBBR, pistols with imported MOS slides, lights and genuine RMRs, all the guici loadout (genuine kit not Aliexpress knockoffs). Really impressive. Great games.

Why anyone would put a Floyd Rose locking nut on a strat trem guitar is one of China’s great mysteries. 
Utterly untuneable.
But hey, it was basically free and unplayable almost beyond redemption. With a little luthier shiatsu and sticktuitiveness I will get it to shine… even if it kills me.

Couldn’t find my folding camping knife so hopped online to buy a new one. The one i like is available from seller just over at Murrarie. But guess what - the government is protecting the populace from old blokes with a 4" folding blade because you can’t buy a knife online in Queensland
