Nah it’s just that plastic/rubber bayonet for the young fellas ak47, and by the time I noticed the tracking it had already cleared customs I was just throwing it out there to be a dick ![]()
Great to see you were able to get it so quick. ![]()
dragged out the old SKD beretta 90twoand charged it up. Forgot how good they are. Decent range and accuracy. More consistent than GBB at 150fps
Hey that’s my trick
![]()
Cool should get it anyday now. ![]()
Santa Clause stopped by and dropped this off for me! ![]()
The last bits to be able to mount the trigger into the ZB26 to complete the display Replica!
A MASSIVE THANK YOU to @BME for making it all possible to having a replica of my favourite model back again and to @Friendly_Fire for his awesome efforts on both our behalves to make sure that these extra bits arrived safely to complete the display. ![]()

Just gotta find a nice length of Jarrah timber to make a display shelf on the wall that’s large enough to fit it on! ![]()
Congrats Bob! And well done @BME @Friendly_Fire for organising it.
That slab of Jarrah will be equally hefty!
Dragged out the old faithful gen8 modded A1 Steyr. Still runs 320fps with less than 4m spread at 35m. Wish it had semi
Yeah, my housemate and I were checking out the wall studs and the industrial anchoring screws in his tool cabinet to make sure that there’s enough beef to hold everything together with the weight of the ZB26 on top of the Jarrah slab!
Gonna attach some wires to ensure that it can’t fall off the shelf and land on his PS5, otherwise I’ll be looking for a new place to live! ![]()
Some underneath angle iron triangle brackets like my RC shelf did the trick for me, until I wake up too fast and bang my head on it. But that’s ok, knock some sence in to me ![]()
Thanks to that petrie dish my sister in law works at (AKA Australia Zoo) the entire household’s down with influenza A… that’s the nasty one you don’t want. ![]()
Me, the missus, and the missus’ sister have been down for the count for the past five days, barely been out of bed. Very fucking nasty bug, coughing up lungs left and right. Luckily for me (or unluckily depending on your point of view) being immune compromised I qualify for anti-virals but the jury’s out on who’s winning that particular bout… even with the anti-virals, still feeling like hammered shit. ![]()
When the sister in law fronted the clinic three days ago, the doctor asked where she works. When she said Australia Zoo she rolled her eyes… apparently a shit ton of the staff there are out with the flu right now.
Get well soon…!!
’
I hear its a new strain…
Ekkavirus Whydidifuggingothere
Its a real nasty bug…!!
Yep I got fucked up for two weeks with HMPV ripped through the local town.
I’m still rebuilding energy to spool back up right now. Fevers, I had inside cranked to 35c and I was still shaking wrapped up in three bedsheets.
Couldn’t get my doc as he was on LSL but got advice and pumped panadol to try kick it. But I passed out and had a close inspection of the kitchen floor after I chunda’d my guts up.
Fun fun, then my farmer mate went down at the same time too with Pnuemonia and had spots on his lungs. He said how the fuck does that work I’ve never smoked in my life.
I found cranking the vitiman C and everyday Multi vits did help on the recovery path. Quit gobbing panadol after I felt I kicked it 2 weeks ago.
I couldn’t even drink a beer, tried a glass of port to try warm me up and threw that up straight away. Oh well fk the alcohol then.
Some of the locals I just spoke too copped it, same symptoms, Haley went down for a month and her husband Spog they were at the footy he was trying to drink a beer and shaking, err I’m not right, think we better go home. She had it for over a month but got double tapped with HMPV and SARS2.
I’ve never been that sick in my life. I even fractured my collar bone badly and was back at work in 7 days.
But anyway hope you get better soon, try the vitC and multivits if you are not already. It does help. You’ll be down for another week or two.
Why I always stay home when I get something to not spread it. Like shearing teams they go to work sick as they do not get paid sick leave and nekkminute the whole team goes down crook as dogs and no fkn shearing gets done.
Like when Covid went through, I had to test and they split us in to non sick teams and keep us together for months while it ripped through. I eventually got it and pulled out. Even after 4 shots of wongo juice so that shit did nothing.
@Maiphut Pretty serious shit that HMPV, man. Long recovery too, so take care of yourself.
I just don’t get why respiratory diseases are running so fucking rampant at the moment. Maybe I’m just an old boomer but years ago, you caught a cold, or the flu if you were unlucky. Growing up in Melbourne it was a fact of life… you took panadol and went about your business.
What’s getting around these days seriously knocks you on your arse.
Thanks buddy, get rid of that boomer nomenclure, woke are dyeing just ask Trump.
Yes I put a lot of it down to a the weather and b nobody giving two fucks and rolling up to work and sharing their lovely friggin ibola virus sowe can have fun with it too as the health system in Australia is fucked now thanks to Blabanese.
Talking to my GP mate of mine his pay rate has now been cut by 50% due to the changes in Medicare Blabanese has made recently. That’s no bs either. We haven’t got enough GP’s and Doctors as it is for the population and that smug fk pulls this shit.
Not happy Jan
Sweep it under the rug so nobody knows. I swear who the bloody hell voted for him coz nobody I know fkn did.
Rant off ![]()
Quick question, if anyone has knowledge…
Home surveillance cameras ( internal). Internet connected.
Mum turns 91 in Nov, still in good health , but starting to do some questionable things.
Having a couple of cameras, inside the house, could help keep an eye on her, and help alleviate concerns re falls.
Just simple , basic cameras, 2 would be enough.
Easy to log into and view remotely on the go…but also secure enough.
Brands to go for / avoid?
If i ask at Hardly Normal, they’ll just give a sales schpeel on whatever they want to flog off…
I dunno, man. Might want to check on legalities,. I know from experience how the elderly value their independence… and privacy. ![]()
Presumably they’re going to be installed with her knowledge, yeah?
If so and she’s okay with it, then your mum must be more easy going than mine. When my ol’ ma was living alone at 92 if I’d suggested putting cameras in her house she’d be chasing me around the room trying to give me a flogging. ![]()
Yeah, its with her knowledge and permission.
Her place is open plan, so one camera would pretty much cover it.
Not in her bedroom etc.
I know what she does already, and its nothing too exciting…!
Its more about me having a bit of peace of mind…i can see she’s ok, when im away at work.
Looking into those alarm pendants as well.
At her age…one fall can be fatal.
If it means she’s on the ground, broken hip, unable to stand or move…
And no one even knows.
You get the picture.
Noone wants that, for their parents…
One system is better than nothing…
Two systems are better than one…
We looked at options for my mother before she had her fall.
The only problem I see with cameras is if your mum has a fall at midnight, you’re not going to know about it until you check in the morning anyway. There’s got to be a foolproof way for her to raise an alarm or a camera is useless.
Found that out after my mum spent 10 hours on the bathroom floor in the middle of a Melbourne winter.
Nursing home was the best choice for her.
I can ring my Uncle and ask as he has them to keep an eye on his elderly dog. Ex lifer military so he knows his shit and not PTSD crazy like some.
In fact about time I gave him a hello call anyway from his nephew.

It’s a good move @BME ![]()
My own Grandmother had a fall and lied about it to the family out of fear of losing her independence, but there was no denying it as my Aunty found her and called the Ambulance.
She returned home and was only a few more months when we found her again, telling us that she had only just fallen that morning, but this time the Paramedics/Doctor’s were able to establish a timeline, due to the stages of bruise development and blood pooling blotches on the parts of her lower body surfaces laying against the floor, that she had been there for a minimum of 2 days. ![]()
As much as she fought and denied it, the medical evidence stated otherwise, and this time she was moved into my Aunty and Uncles place for constant monitoring.
This was back in the late 80’s and never had the technology of cameras/pendants/WiFi/mobile phone communications etc, so there was no other options.
Luckily we have these modern tools and technology for our elderly loved ones to continue to enjoy living independently, but without being cut-off from the outside world. ![]()
