Ok… B709 update.

Both B709’s …approved.!

This is for a 3d printed ‘RE Requiem Revolver’, and the Resin Robocop collectable.

Being non-firing, these were wholly handled internally by QLD police, and issued within the normal timeframe.

When i spoke to them on the phone, they did say they are now allowed to issue B709 for gel blaster parts, ie gearboxes.!

They didnt go into too much depth, just said it was now allowed.
Individual parts… ie piston, case…no b709 reqd.

Normal legal “gel / firearm” parts…( by this i mean cheapo chinese scopes, red dots, foregrips, pistol grips etc) are allowed if legal , no B709 reqd…just at discretion of ABF as per usual.

Some info, anyway…

I might bring in a sten stock , for the ROK stens…

When the time comes, i might be the sucker who goes through the process, to import a Gel MG-42…

wonder when they will be released…

What about gel blasters themselves? Were they mentioned as in allowed to be imported?

No…just parts.

For example, you could import a gearbox for a blaster with a b709…but it would likely need to be serialised.

I didn’t ask too much…he didn’t know too much…recent change he said.

Did they say how they tie the serial number to the owner? It’s not like we’ve got licences for these things they can reference. :person_shrugging:

Last investigation I did for imports was serial numbers had to be unique, and were only used for recording what comes in the country, after that no records taken. So kinda pointless but it makes sure it’s a little harder as that is ultimately what they are going for.

I’ll be ordering gearboxes and seeing how it goes in a few weeks, thrown enough money down the gurgler for the hobby already why not more!

Okay… Robocop prop on the way.!

I asked them to hold one for me, until b709 was approved, in case there were any lengthy hold ups.

Glad i did… they are now all sold out…!!

Just hope it doesn’t land in SYD… but even that shouldn’t be a problem…one piece resin, not gel…

@Friendly_Fire was talking about making a mold casting… lets see if we can reproduce them…!

RE Requiem is coming from italy…he needed my B709, for his export to Oz paperwork… one of the few countries that need it, for a 3d printed prop…

Had to go down the coast today, to see the accountant…who’s close to ihobby.

Dangerous, i know…

I had to go to ihobby for a gas shotty repair.
The RE gas shotty, about 2-3 months old, was leaking gas…badly.

I phoned in advance, dropped it off after 9.
Picked it up after the accountant… 10:30.

All pulled apart, seals were replaced, and they gave me a spare seals kit… all for $30.

Not good that it failed so quickly…but great value for a repair.
Excellent same day service… which had been pre-arranged.

My “Hicks Aliens” shotty is older and holding up just fine, so it may have been dodgy seals from the factory, initially.

Remember how you were considering gettin a X-95 bullpup…??

This is a pull apart, for painting colours trial.

I’ll trial one side, with the other Tamiya dark green, and the other side the darker rustoleum tan colour. See how they look in the flesh.

Then i may / may not repaint the other…then finally hit this one black…

Been running this beast (with other mods) on and off since it first came out and I unlocked it. Back then it reminded me of my Sig 551, however I normally run it with a grenade launcher and scope.

Also @BME is it a J11 mag or J12 cuz the pics in the Sig 550 topic looks like a J12 mag :thinking:
