What Did You Get Up To Today?

Probably just a coat of Tamiya flat clear, I’d say. The tan doesn’t look too bad on it. :person_shrugging:

At the very least it’ll be rewired to take a lipo, and possibly upgrades to the stock box. If that brings no joy, maybe the possibility of shoehorning in an MP7 box, possibly a P90… but I ain’t holding out much hope for that.

It’s a very weird and proprietry gearbox.

Great candidate for HPA, but who could be arsed spending big bucks like that on an ABS blaster? :joy:

immortalize the decals of dismay, forever…!!

You’re right, the tan is a decent enough colour.

i think i will order another Requiem…he does them even cheaper unassembled…

That would make it easier to sand/ paint parts, while its apart…
i did like the lighter look as well.
One for display, for the unit…

Sounds like you’re keen for the X-95.
When do you want it.?

you’ll have fun, sorting all that out above…!!

Maybe an Uzi gearbox.?.?
They’re quite compact too…

Ah, whenever matey.

I’ll get your Sig back together, then if you want to drop around we can do your mag cut’n’shut and sort out your EVO folding stock woes while you’re here. :+1:

Caught a couple of decent flatboys yesterday at Bribie… a 50cm and a 40cm, the 40 being just legal. But I like eating fresh fish, so out came the filleting knife.

Noticed as I pulled up in the driveway at home a suspiciously big line of glycol on the road leading up to my Forester. Checked it this morning and… tada!

That’s one munted lower hose… we were lucky to make it back from Bribie, and I have to assume it split right before home. These Foresters don’t have a temp guage just a blue and red warning light on the dash, which sucks. Time to retro fit a proper guage.

Anyway, new hose from Repco this morning is fitted… ready to hit the fish again.

Bloody lucky with that hose mate, and hopefully you were able to get a decent quality replacement, as that old hose looks like a $3 TEMU special!:open_mouth:

Nice Flatties, bloody good tucka!:ok_hand:

Funny about those fish…

Back in Melbourne, a 50cm flathead’s considered a very decent fish. Up here in Bananaland, it’s average.

Either way, both fish were panworthy, very tasty and everything other than the fillets ended up down this guy’s gob…

He got a good feed too. Ripper day… we were visited by a couple of sea eagles dive bombing mullet right in front of us, a pod of dolphins, stingrays and that fat pelican. :+1:

Had a couple with bar banging farm mate. Sorted out this coming weekend going to get piz minda with about 20 other piz heads.

Good been a couple months since I’ve had a beer. Things shall be corrected. Ignore any glows on the horizon.

Glows, notice the moon is still fronting up full. That aint right this time of year.

Yea because we dont take em at 27cm like the vics, flathead minimun is 30cm with a slot limit for dusky of 40-75cm and your only allowed 5 in qld vs vics 20 so theres alot more waiting and growing.

Time to reshape the ugly Ashton tip shop project guitar

Picked up for $20, working ( sort of ), but I could see the potential. Ashtons have to be one of the ugliest guitars out there… headstock like a foot, offset waist with non-offset body base… just doesn’t work and triggers my OCD like you wouldn’t believe.

So… all by hand with a crosscut and Shinto rasp, lots of preliminary sanding to see if the concept of turning it into a true offset body guitar will even fly.

About an inch and a half in the old scale off the bottom to create a base line angle consistent with the angle of the offset waist.

Reshaped the foot into something that doesn’t make me wanna gag

Contoured the blocky neck pocket for better access to the upper frets.

Concept proven… neck on and far more pleasing lines, definitely something I can play and live with.

Time to strip, finesse shape, endlessly sand, repaint, replace all the hardware and pots, going with master volume and tone control, so a hole to fill. Then throw in some new Seymour Duncans.

Have to reshape the neck profile too… it’s a bit of a baseball bat, a “D” profile… a modern “C” will suit my style of playing better. :+1:

Good times :sunglasses:

Training flight.
Right IRS failure…

Lost the autopilot, autothrottle, and EEC’s in alternate mode….

Hand flown cruise, descent and GLS approach to touchdown.

Bit of a handful…!

Pax didn’t even know…

I’m trying to find $20 bucks. If you don’t mind

I’m trying to find a runway, a high speed exit…then a toilet…!!

Missing at least one of those, is dangerous…!!

:rofl::rofl:

Exit stage left  Code brown   :+1:

Hello all, been years since was here last.
Just seeing some EOFYS and think might be interested in getting an M4 style blaster.
Any recommendations around $500 budget? Happy to go over if its really worth it…
I have bought from Azrael Armoury in past, but haven’t had any replies to several emails sent out lately - are they still operating?
Thanks in advance…cheers

Hi mate welcome to the circus! If you want head over to the introduce yourself thread.

Not sure there will be much EOFY action this year, supply being restricted and uncertain with the new laws. Tactical Edge have a mediocre sale going, and iHobby have 18% off which is a few percent better than normal.

My recommendations for that budget, is to look at the metal CYMA stuff. The only caveat is also get a nylon magazine as their metal ones tend to have issues.

There are a few E&C models at cyber trigger in that price range - though no sales to note there yet.

Others may have sales yet, wait and see.
