Took the Boogie Dog over to Woorim Beach offleash park yesterday… Bribie Island ocean side. Figured a flick with a soft plastic was in order while I was at it.
Zero fish, water was a bit dirty after all the rain but there was a fair school of mackerel getting airborne and busting up just out of casting reach, even with a heavy metal tied on… bugger. 
But Boogie had a ball. 
She’s a rescue, when we got her five years ago we were told by the foster family that she hates water… somebody dropped the ball with the profiling there.

Been a pretty crap year all-round for fishing.
Something to do with El Nina and water temperatures according to the local fishing shop owner, also including the fresh water fishing.
Even my Fishing Charter mates up through Shark Bay/Denham, Exmouth, Ningaloo are having a hard year, despite their many GPS plotted areas known for abundant fish, are finding very little activity.
They are hoping business picks up after this Winter fecks off and conditions improve somewhat.
Mmm I know because of business not fishing. Lots of dead ones.
Just a cycle going through that hasn’t been around for 200 odd years before they started recording it. I’ve been putting up with it for 3 years now.

So after reshape, repaint and rewire with new pots, it’s now at least a little better looking.
Murphy’s law, the 'bucker and the middle pick ups were dead, so first test resulted in a lot of time wasted checking wiring etc. before it dawned on me the pick ups could be the problem. Had a spare black 'bucker kicking around and an old strat middle pup🤣
Hence the white middle pup. Black cover on the way.
Everything taps out fine, so wiring’s good… strings go on tomorrow and it’ll be sound test time. Not expecting much… the whole point of this tip shop build was to see how little I could spend and still get away with a playable guitar.
Maybe I should have filmed the whole process, recorded some music with it and put it up on Youtube. I figure if guys who put up content like scraping a bit of mud off a pistol and soaking it in vinegar for a couple of days can call it quality, so can I!

One time I was lamb tailing, hey bro save us those lamb tails. So I did bagged em up and dropped them off after work. Next minute fire going, chucked an old bed frame on the fire, come and get it, about 20 came out the house, salt and straight into the tails.
Was so funny, wtf going on here, mm delicious bro, you’re a legend for bringing us those.

Got most of my remaining work finished this weekend with a bit of spare time on Sunday afternoon. So went for a 6km 45min casual mountain bike round around my neighbourhood just to check my skills and fitness before going to any actual trails.
My fitness sucks haha. Definitely something to work on! The actual skills of riding the thing and navigating some weird obstacles/terrain came back pretty quick, definitely not what I was but the fundamentals weren’t lost.
Might try and get another couple of shorter rides over the next week or two before I load it on the car to go to an actual MTB trail.
Fun, though arms legs and arse all feel it today haha. It has been quite a few years!
