Crocs are shit anyway. Ditch them to start with.
They don’t last 5 seconds in my neck of the woods. Hurts when a cranky sheep crush your big toenail and takes weeks to regrow.
Blundstones are crap, found Redbacks suitable for what I do, steel caps. Can’t crush your toenail then naughty sheep. Pricks would just stomp on your foot when penning up. 2-3 months Blunstones fell apart.
Hmm I need upgrades. Been doing the trick last few years

haha yea maybe try don’t do that. Reminds me of a local 88yo farmer when the bush fires were on. He pulled up and the rolling embers set a heap of newspapers alight in the back of his ute. Been a lot more than just one year.
Almost 12 months in since picking up this old 1960’s VW, 1970’s built Beach Buggy with a good mate of mine.
I’ll try find some pics of the piece of shit we originally picked up, but in the meantime, here are some build progression photos.
Needless to say that it looked NOTHING like this when we first offloaded it into the shed, having been handballed around many different owner for many decades, all of whom didn’t do it any favours.
Looking to have it completed for our annual Bremer Bay New Year’s excursion once the weather improves enough to actually get a coat of paint on it and finish fitting all the new parts into it.

The piece of shite we started out with after 40+ years of neglect and many shitty owners who never gave it the love it deserved as such a classic Buggy!
It’s got a Type 3 2.0 litre Twin Port that we had to repair and replace a few parts to get running, but is now in as brand new condition.
I rebuilt the Carburettor and Ignition, along with removing the original Air Cooling system and all the fibreglass soundproofing/heat shielding that had disintegrated over the years and clogged up EVERY single cooling fin within the engine.
Have new clutch, all new Brake components and bearings/seals/cables/ball joints etc.
Runs like a Swiss watch and should have quite the giddy up once it’s all tuned and set up properly.
We’ve pretty much rebuilt EVERYTHING, which is the only way to go when you dive this deep into a restoration project.
Have a set of SAAS Racing Seats, a couple of 4 point harnesses and I just brought home the hand made dash panel today to wire up a custom dashboard to my mate’s requirements.
Can’t wait to get this out on the dunes in Bremer and show all the GenZ crowd in their POLARIS’s what a REAL Dune Buggy looks like!
